Bottle, brewed at Jantzen Beach, sold at Belmont
Opaque yellow, whispy head. Aroma of yeast, pear, fresh malt, marshmallow. Sweet and spicy palate with pear, mango, light pepper and coriander seed. Sweet, milky character. A very cool interpretation - distinct and definitive, and not just another ginger/coriander Belgian masquerading as saison.

On draught at the Columbus location. This beer is a mostly clear yellow/gold color with a medium thin and short-lived off-white head. Spotty lacing. Caramel, citrus and mild hops in the nose. Light-bodied and moderately carbonated with flavors of toasted malt, fruit and hops. The finish is soft with sweet malt and leaves a light spicy hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

Draught at Belmont Bier Cafe Puckerfest. A 2-year-old keg. This is the age at which Berliner Weisse is reputed to hit its stride, and my experience with Schultheiss at least backs that up.

Cloudy, pale yellow. Very wheaty nose, slightly tart lime and wood accents. Moderate tartness on the palate and a clean light maltiness. Not a ton of nuance. On the whole this is a mild but authentic rendition...good to see it.

This is a straightforward saison, simple but good. Cloudy yellow. Very light hop and yeast aroma with light citrus. Flavor is just a little sour, more yeast, and light fruit. Unfiltered and cloudy, which I like. Good palate.

Draft at BJ’s Pinellas Park, FL. Deep amber color with long lasting mocha head. The aroma is light but nice with molasses, roasted malts and chocolate malts. Yummy. The flavor hits you with roasted to burnt malts and coffee. I can also just sense the alcohol. Also in the mix is a chocolate note creating a bit more complexity.

Draft at BJ’s Pinellas Park, FL. Poured deep deep red amber with lasting mocha head and a sheet of lacing clinging behind on the glass. The aroma is a tad light. I get hints of sweet molasses, roasted malts and chocolate malts. Nice thick mouth feel that borders on velvety. Smooth flavor that is melded well enough that it’s tough to pick out distinct flavors. Seems to start with sweet molasses then coffee, some chocolate, streaks of dark fruitiness and burnt malts. Nice full flavor beer.

Draft at BJ’s Pinellas Park, FL. Pours a nice clear amber with frothy tan head. Aroma is light but when I work at it I smell slight nuttiness also sweet caramelized malt that really isn’t the sweet caramel candy smell. Definitely a nutty flavor. Maybe hazelnut from the start to about midway where roasted malt, sweet malt and caramelized malt kind of mix all at once. Beyond that the roasted malts and nuttiness take you into the finish. Another nice offering.

Draft at BJ’s Pinellas Park, FL. Nice clear copper color with gold edges and lasting thin off white head. The aroma is sweet malts and caramel. Really nice but could be a bit stronger. Had to struggle to get a good whiff. Medium mouth feel with spot on maltiness of sweet malt, roasted malt and caramel malt mix. Nice balance.
