21.12.2013, 0,5l bottle @ home:
Big slightly fizzy mediumlasting head. Aroma is weeds, hay, light malts, slightly roasted grain, yeast. Taste is slightly dry grainy, hay, yeast, light malts, weeds, wet grain, grass. Medium bitterness. Boring, and I think I’d rather call this a golden or amber ale rather than a dunkel.

Poured from a 500ml bottle into a tulip shaped glass at Oskars Pub in Levanger. Slightly hazy, dark amber coloured body. Beige head quickly reduced to a film-type layer. Smell of fresh and dried fruits. Dried fruity taste mixed with fresh apricots and joined by malty sweetness. Notes of spiced bitterness towards the ending. Medium bodied. Nice and refreshing, 19.11.2013.

500ml bottle received as a gift at Inderøy Bibliotek after a lecture on early modern witchcraft. Crystal clear copper-gold coloured body, hazy last pour. White head reduced to a remaining layer. Fragile glass-lacing. Inviting smooth aroma of mid-sweet malts and floral hops. Mild and well blended flavours of lemony hops, herbs and caramel malts. Rounded bittersweet tail. Session qualities with fine drinkability (hotel room, Levanger 18.11.2013).

500ml bottle as a beer gift at Inderøy bibliotek after a talk about early modern witchcraft. Noisy pour revealing a beige head, mostly diminishing, with fragile lacing down the glass. Close to clear, amber-brown body. Nose is mid-sweet, earthy malts, lightly spiced. Mild blended flavours of dark fruits and caramel malts. Modest yeasty fruitiness towards a mid-tart ending. Soft in the mouth. Easy to drink. Likable (hotel room, Levanger 18.11.2013).

500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.8%. Brewed with "einerlåg" (= mashing / sparging "liquor" / water boiled with juniper branches) and smoked stjørdalsmalt. Brewed in cooperation with Klostergården Håndbryggeri - they have brewed a version at each brewery. Hazy dark brown colour, moderate beige head. Intense aroma of stjørdalsmalt, smoked meat, bonfires and tar. Even more intense smoked flavour, smoke and ashes all the way. Sorry, stjørdalsmalt is just not my thing.
