19/12/2019. Draught at the Three Wise Monkeys, Ipswich. Pours clear golden with a small white head leaving nice lacing. Aroma of sweet jammy fruits, orange, citrus, oat biscuit and sweet malt. Medium sweetness and light bitterness. Moderate body, slight watery texture, average carbonation.

Keg @ Tap and Can. Pours a mucky golden orange, thin white head. Aroma brings moderately sweet malt. Taste is sweet, thankfully not bursting with marmalade, nicely balanced, smooth oaty influence, some distant pithy orange rind. Nice, but a touch light and malty.

Cask gravity at East Malling BF 2019. 8.0% Hazy copper deep amber colour lasting white head. Sweet malt aroma. Some grapefruit some toffee. ok in mouth if a little sweet. like quality street toffee. no bad flavours. light pink grapefruit. but yes toffee.

Cask @ Shrewsbury Real Ale Festival 2019, St Mary's Church. Pours clear amber, frothy off-white head. Big coffee nose, big coffee character overall, body needs a little lift, and I find myself yearning for a bit of sweetness to balance out the coffee, but generally fine for what it aims to be.

Cask @ Shrewsbury Real Ale Festival 2019, St Mary's Church. Pours pale gold, small white head. Surprisingly herbal, bitter nose. Taste has initial cucumber, herbal notes, dry bitterness. Bit odd.

Deep dark brown colour with a ruby hue, small frothy tan head, completely diminishing, no lacing. Aroma roasted malt, cocoa, faint dark fruits, light licorice. Mild taste, medium sweet and light bitter, roasted malt, chocolate,
sweetbitter aftertaste, burnt caramel, ashy notes. Medium body, oily to watery texture, soft carbonation, nice stout.

Gravity cask at the Dartford Jug. Light reddish brown as opposed to full-on amber. A lovely loose, uneven off-white head on top. Atoma of dried grass and leafy hop. Taste is sweet and malty with an underlying bitterness which wends its way to supremacy at the finish. More leafy hop, some berry notes in the aftertaste. Special.
