Ubiquitous pale yellow lager color and appearance. Thin head. Slight aromatic alky aroma. Odd and interesting plastic palate. Earthy tones abound. Not a whole lot of bitterness but certainly there is a malt or hop bitter bite present. Mild carbonation. That bitter bite keeps building thru the session until the finish is left with a medium strong hop bite that lingers for a while.

Tasted this with zebracakes. Darker than expected, I guess this is my first biere de garde. Not sure if this really is one and I see on this page it is not. Malty alky and tasty. Unrefined dubbel flavors and personality. Alky bite and barely any carbonation. Metallic and a little offensive at times. Better than Lagunitas 10 but not as good as Rare Voss.

Slightly hazy but otherwise typical pale yellow american lager color. Beery aroma and perhaps it has a little spice in there too. Medium mild carbonation. Taste is also a bit spicey like a wheat beer or american hefe. Some mild bitterness may be detectable and builds through the session. Mild mannered and well behaved. This is easy to enjoy. Somewhat like many wheat beers I’ve had.

Raspberry aroma. Hazy ginger ale appearance. Fruity to an extent but not sweet. Very similar to many other fruit beers in that it tastes pretty much tastes like any old beer with some fruit hints. Didn’t seem to have any carbonation. Not bad!

Certainly Vanilla all the way. Bitter and slightly sour. Almost Baltic porter in nature but not quite as strong or dense. Virtually flat. Good stronger oppressive porter. I thought this was a mild imp stout before I saw the name.

This stuff was called ’MANYA’S" imperial stout. Cask conditioned and flat to the palate. Coal black and chocolate mousse head. Slight roasty impy stout aroma. Smells fairly attractive. Bitter and alky. Very strong and oppressive to an exrtent. Do you like your beer filtered through an old wet campfire? A little rude but this is the opinion of a lager lover. Very good example of the style.

Bottle. Golden color with a one finger head that has died back a little, but still covers the body. Aromas are a little skunky... (Heineken like) a little grass, a little honey... not much there. Flavor starts with a honey sweetness that gives way to a white pepper hops finish. A bready malt presence nicely bridges this transition. Pleasant if unspectacular.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a dark amber color with a medium sized soapy white head that left good lacing. The aroma was sweet pine, resin and grapefruit. The flavor was a nicely complex mix of piney, fruity and floral hops. There body was rather light and lacking malt backbone but the hoppy finish was long and pleasant.Well done.

Bottle. Pour is an amberish color that becomes almost brown when it’s not in the light, but a bright orange if it’s close to a light source. Head is about a half finger of foam. Aromas are sweet apple juice with a little bit of a floral character. Mouthfeel is a little gritty and dusty. Flavor is sweet and subtle. Hops are there, but they are floral and this adds a different quality than most of the American PA’s bring to the table. Gotta say that this beer is fairly subtle, but it grew on me as I worked my way to the bottom of the glass. When I finished, I really wished I had another.

Bottle. Brown body that lets some light through. Head is largish and foamy. Aromas are of bran, hazelnut, a little bit of toffee and some allspice/nutmeg. Flavor is decidedly dark, but mouthfeel is a little watery. The bran like flavor comes through strongly. Not very exciting once you get past the sniffing stage.
