Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a bit of sediment floating around under a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of fruit - especially peaches on a malty back ground. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of spices - primarily cloves, as well as medium notes of malt, alcohol, peaches, and perfume, leading to a dry alcoholic and spicy finish.

Courtesy of treyrab. Pours brilliant clear copper with thin white head. The aroma is malty with a hint of biscuit malts and earthy hops. The flavor at first tastes a tad oxidized. But then I quickly realize it is just a well rounded earthy hop note. Sweet malts, crystal malts and biscuit malts caress the earthy to spicy hops to midway. As the finish approaches the hops grow in bitterness as the malts slowly grow in roastiness with the addition of biscuit and a dash of chocolate malts into the after taste. Nice tasting brew.

On tap in the Church. Body is a cloudy and tawny brown with a thin tan head. Big aromas of dark fruit and brown sugar foreshadow the flavor that is to come... fig and raisin, brown sugar and spice all come together to make this pretty nice stuff. ABV is 8 % this year, and it was present and pleasant. This is pretty dark compared to the other bieres de garde that I have tried. It is very full flavored and a little bit sticky sweet. I probably should have taken a growler home.

On tap in the Church. Glass held a cloudy gold/amber body with little to no head. Understated aromas of butterscotch and grain. Flavor starts off with a fairly buttery and sweet malt presence that the gives way to spice and yeast which covers a little bit of a metallic edge. I sure though this was awful at first, but it seemed to get better the longer it sat out.

CBW AQUINOS ALT S5L2T5F3O9: Just slightly darker than a pale lager but just as clear. Has a refreshing aroma which comes across like good old beer. A tad hoppy but well controlled. At first I thought it was going to be over the top. It evolves into a well mannered beer. each sip is the same, it starts off like its going to be exceptionally bitter but it goes fairly mild. does have a building medium mild medicinal linger. Overall, goes down fairly easy. Could have a few more manners.
