Bouteille 660ml.

Has an okay clear amber body and decent enough head on top when poured aggressively. Soft aroma of malt and nothing else. The flavour is a whole lot of soft nothing with an odd perfumy aftertaste all over a very weak palate. It started out so well, and ended so badly.

Nice amber body and a modest bit of beige head, but the aroma is quite lacking - in fact it smells like almost nothing at all. For a nine percenter, though, this is probably a good thing. The flavour is sour grass and leather with a weak enough mouthfeel to make it feel balanced. Lots of orange and cherry notes. For such a strong beer it’s incredibly drinkable, but that doesn’t make it amazing, but just good.

Has a cloudy dark gold body and a very small little head on top. Aroma is fruit syrup, very thick sugariness on the nose. The flavour is an odd mix of honey and fruit with just a hint of beerishness in there. It’s a surprisingly strange mix, but it sort of works. Sort of.

Bottle: Poured a hazy brown color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of good caramelized malt with limited complexity. Taste is also dominated by good caramel malt with light toffee and brown sugar notes. Body is a bit light for style with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. No major brewing flaws but nothing jumping out to makes this truly interesting.

(bottle) very dark brown with small tan head; aroma of soy sauce, sour flavour, watery palate; not bad but it is not a sweet stout

Bottle: Poured a lightly hazy bright golden light orangey color ale with a large white foamy head with minimal retention and some light lacing. Aroma of peach syrup is not as gross as it could have been with light sugar point also noticeable. Taste is a mix between some sweet malt with artificial flavour of peach reminiscent of kool-aid. Body is about average for style with OK carbonation. Not sure what market they are aiming for but this is getting close to the alcohol-pop territory.

Bottle: Poured a very light yellow color ale with a small bubbly head with limited retention. Aroma of light tart lime notes with grainy malt is not the most interesting. Taste is also not as refreshing as I would have hope for with light citrus tart notes with grainy unrefined malt notes. Body was extremely thin with fizzy carbonation. Another one to avoid at all cost.

Purchased at Marché Omni and comes in a bomber (660ml) brown bottle. Pours a red-brown colour with a big yellow-beige head that is foamy-frothy and disappears slowly leaving a bit of lace. The nose is nutty, malty and has notes of dark fruits. Smooth and oily mouthfeel. No burn from the higher alcohol content. Dates and raisins are the dark fruits found in the taste, with some roasted malts and burnt sugars. Notes of coffee are also found. A pretty surprising easy-drinking Scottish ale, that I would definitely have again... and suggest you do.

Bottled@omhper. Slightly hazy ambery brown colour with a mediumsized slightly off-white fluffy head. Aroma is sweet malts along with some sugary and mildly nutty notes. Flavour is quite much the same along with some slightly sourish notes.
