Has a fairly dark golden-brown colour. The aroma is rich, with a lot of caramelized sugar. The apricot, to the extent it was there in the first place, seems to be absent from the aroma now, after whatever number of years this spent in an half-empty bottle in the back of the fridge. Very sweet, like rich and yummy dark honeys but also sort of one-dimensional. Some alcoholic heat, and maybe a touch of wood, but mostly this is a rich sugar bomb, and again the fruit seems gone now. My sweet tooth does appreciate this.

Tasting at Matt's, synthetic cork bottle, vintage 2017
Pale color. The aroma is strong, it's flowery, wax, some alcohol, some apple. Moderately sweet, mild spices.
Simple.

Very pale straw. Very toasty honey on the nose. Very sweet, lots of toasty notes. The cinnamon is very strong, maybe a touch of nutmeg/clove, apples definitely. So straightforward version of what's been described.

375mL bottle, pours a clear pale yellow. Nose is full of spices, especially cinnamon, with medium sweet apples, and honey. Flavour is like an apple pie, with heaps of cinnamon and apple sweetness, maybe a bit of nutmeg too. Simple, but fun and easily drinkable. Good stuff.

Otter - Lots of cinnamon and apple. Pale yellow. Sweet raw apple and tons of cinnamon and nutmeg. A bit over spiced.

2015 vintage. 50mL dink bottle, pours a clear golden blonde. Aroma brings out the apricots and honey in good cohesion upfront, with light acidity and moderate sweetness. Flavour is medium sweet, with treacly honey upfront, very faint / subdued apricots, alcohol and a subtle tartness underneath. Quite a lot of heat, but it works well. Warming on the palate. Nice.

375ml bottle at Brian's office. Pours a clear golden with no head. Aroma is apples, dirty, veggie, honey, flowery. Taste is similar, slightly better. Meh.

Gold. Not leaving a lot of legs. Kind of a toasty honey character. Mostly sweet, with a nice toasty honey note. Just a little apple accent on the palate, and this also lends a little bit of juicy acidity to the finish. Definitely more mead than cyser, but the fruit works pretty well. The base mead isn't anything special, but it's all good.

Bottle - Cherry and strong honey notes. Clear pale copper. Sweet honey and some light current notes. Light bitterness and sweetness. Par for the course for them.
