Bottle - Lots of light sweet honey. Pale gold. Grassy, honey and more grassy notes than currant.

2014 bottle at Campbell's Gold, pours a murky pinkish orange. Nose is quite spicy with cranberries and honey. Flavour is on the dryer side, with loads of cranberries and Christmas spices (cinnamon). Not really my thing but I definitely appreciate it for what it is. Good stuff.

Bottle at Campbell's Gold, pours a clear blonde. Nose is medium sweet, with white wine, light honey, and some dryness. Flavour is sweet and vinous, with medium sweet honey, white wine and grapes. Complex and well-balanced. Excellent.

Samples at Campbell's Gold, pours a clear blonde. Nose is very fruity, with raisins and berries. Flavour is medium sweet, bringing out goji berries and medium sweetness. Alcoholic but not hard to drink. Very nice.

2014 bottle at Campbell's Gold, pours a clear blonde. Nose brings out fresh honey and light white grapes. Flavour is medium to heavy sweet, with white grapes and honey. Really well-balanced and not too sweet. Really nice.

Bottle, pours a clear yellow. Nose brings out light honey, with moderate sweetness. Flavour is moderately sweet for a mead, with fairly low quality honey coming through. Pleasant and alcoholic, but not overly complex. Okay.

Bottle, pours a clear yellow. Aroma brings out thick honey, in good balance without too much sweetness. Flavour is thick, with medium honey prominence, with some floral quality and medium sweetness. Not the most complex, but nothing off about it. Good stuff.

Very pale yellow color. Vanilla and talc aroma. Medium sweet, light woody character, very light acidity, talc; very simple mead.

Bottle at the meadery, synthetic cork, vintage 2009
Very pale color. Light aroma of honey and nuts, very light chemicals. Sweet, but not completely syrupy, with quite high acidity level, very light honey presence; quite lemony character too.

2012 bottle, pours a clear yellow. Nose brings out moderate honey, light grape skins, and a touch of vinous quality. Flavour is dry, with grapes, light honey, and dry oaky vinous quality. Decently balanced with a tart oaky finish.

2011 bottle, pours a clear dark orangey pink. Nose brings out treacle toffee, raspberries and honey. Flavour is bone dry, with almost tart raspberries and dry woodiness. No sweetness whatsoever. Okay.
