This beer pours a clear pale golden color with a medium white head that dissipates gradually to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of herbal hops, fruit and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of grassy hops, bready malt and a bit of fruit. The finish is mildly bitter with a grassy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Can into el rey del mundo glass. Big foaming head goes rocky. Smell is typical beery aroma. Look is not as dark as iced tea and it’s slightly cloudy. Taste is ESB-ish fer sure. Perhaps a little more personality than I care for, but its not bad overall. Decent co2. Yes, a little medicinal for 5%. Does not hide the alky well. Goes down fairly easy. Finish leaves that slight medicinal feel on yer palate. So, is the skull and bones a pirate label or that of the 13 colonies? WTF?

Bot. Somewhat soapy aroma. Lighter pale slight haze. Large rocky head that does not fade. Initially good co2. Taste is quite hoppy and bitter for what I believe to be a kolsch. Yes, almost astringent on the tongue. perhaps there is a tad of sweetness but that astringent impact is so prevalent. Same with the finish. A little difficult to enjoy.

Bottle. Amber body with a frothy, off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit, orange peel, lemon, caramel. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/sticky texture, lively carbonation. The sweet start carries through the finish. In fact, the sweetness could use some taming. Taste of citrus, grapefruit, pine, caramel.
