Draught at Q-Brick. Medium amber orange. Nose of orange, caramel, light spice, malty and fruity. Lots of sweet orange in the mouth, with caramel and chocolate. Low, soft carbonation; smooth and oily. Decent, but too sweet and too much orange for me. Nice malt.

Draught at 1020. Nice brown milkshake head on black. Nose of chocolate and cream, with a bit of berry. Very sweet, milky, chocolte flavor. Too sweet for me, with not enough roasted character to come close to balance—just a bit of woodiness. Too light and thin as well. Decent flavor, but not my thing, and nowhere near the quality of their regular stout.

Draught at the 2nd Vine. Pale gold-copper. No head. Shochu yeast nose, roasty rice, yaki-imo (roasted Japanese sweet potatoes), imo-jochu and lemon. Complex and interesting. Flavor of imo-jochu (Sweet potato spirits), big time! Some roasred rice maybe too. Hot alcohol. More like shochu than beer! Crazy stuff. Likeable enough, but why? The shochu yeast that they use completely wipes out any impact of the rice. Should be called Shochu ale.

Draught at Q-Brick. Slightly cloudy gold with lace. Spicy nose with clove, medium banana, rather clean. Rich and spicy flavor, with banana and some citrus. Nice and tasty, somewhat Belgian-like. Soft, fine carbonation and nice mouth feel.

Draught at Q-Brick. Brilliant gold color, clear, with lace. Big citrus hop nose, all cascade. Clean malts behind it. Light, clean, malt flavor with some bread. Great hop flavor. Light and clean. Very nice. Another great lager from these guys.

cloudy white color. Sweet pugnant citrusy nose. Sweet mouth with lots of Mikan notes, but not balanced with enough acidity and should be a bit drier. Nice refreshing beer, but could use a bit of tweaking.

Lots of smoked ham in the mouth and a bit of peat. The nose is massively peaty, with a touch of caramel. Very malty mouth. Nicely balanced dry finish. Interesting.

Draught at the Great Japan Beer Festival, Osaka, 2011. Light, pale yellow color. Nice ciotrus aroma. Nice, fresh, taste, not sweet, good sour edge. Decent enough beery lager flavor backing up the fruit.
