Bottle - Raisin, some prune and dark malts. Deep brown with a rich beige head. Dark raisin and some malts with a dark almost boozy finish.

Bottle - Funky sour notes, cocoa, cherry and dark chocolate. Jet brown with a nice light brown head. Sour and smooth roast with some cocoa and a light cherry finish. Although you get sourness, acidity is gone and you have a slick and long balanced finish. Very interesting and quite surprising.

2015 version. This years version is a nice malty one, with Belgian notes that have been subdued over the months. All around one of their better beers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

bottle - Pours dark copper colored with a small head. It has a resinous, hoppy aroma. The strongly bitter flavor has more resinous character and some caramel malt in the background. It’s medium to full bodied, a solid but certainly not fantastic beer.

On tap. Pours a burnt copper with moderate head. Not much to the nose, had to strain to get estery stone fruit and earth. Flavors of grainy pears , sugar and dirty yeast. Messy.

330ml bottle, shared with Blackhaddock in his man cave. Many thanks to Duffman for this. Pours very dark brown, good off-white head. Aroma is dried dark fruits, dark malts. Taste continues in a similar vein, lots of chewy dark fruits, dark malts, cocoa.. good complex, tasty baltic porter.

355ml bottle, shared with minutemat on 5th Aug 2016. Cheers Mat for this. Black bodied, or very dark brown: tanned topping. Malts all the way here, you pick your favourite malty flavour or aroma and you’ll find it in this beer. Coffee, toffee, chocolate, caramel, liquorice, all there waiting to be found. Nice balance between the maltiness and the body depth hides the alcohol well: a very pleasant beer all round.

I unique style, the full bodied roastiness combined with high alcohol warmth and sourness to go with it. Lacking head formation, but the body is smooth. The sourness is mild, probably just because it's competing with such strong malts, all around good beer though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is the new 2016 "cherry monkey". The stout itself is very nice, thick and heavy. The cherry flavour is quite mild and largely overpowered by the base malts. Especially considering how many cherries the brewer told me they used. Nothing off about this. The alcohol warmth makes this a perfect winter sipper. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is paddock wood's best beer I think theyve ever made. The cayenne spice is perfect and the stout itself has a great recipe with nice chocolate notes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
