Draft @ Concordia Ale House. Darkish brown, thick head. Aroma is rich chocolatey and a touch of molasses and earthy hopping. Rich hoppy chocolatey, touch of woody hop and alcohol in the finish.

Hazy dull tan, no head. Plasticy nose, light pale orchard fruit notes, sweet, has an orchard fruit note, but also plastic and alcohol. Reminds me of Gulden Draak, which is to say not my favourite, but drinkable.

On tap at Imazato. Sound Americanus 6.5% dark black with a thin beige head. Roasty chocolate & coffee bean aroma. Medium to thin bodied with a fairly smooth mouthfeel. The taste is roasty bitter black patent malts with chocolate a tad acrid dark maltiness but not too over the top.

22 Oz bottle pour split. Pours a sunny orange color with a holiday spiced up aroma. Medium body with a Belgian yeast and spices fronted flavor. A little brown sugar sweetness as well. Slightly boozy, but I enjoy the flavor overall. Tastes lighter than expectrd, but overall this was a good beer.

355 ml bottle.2014 vintage with 11.5% ABV. Pours a clear copper with light head. Aromas of Christmas cake, light Belgian yeast, light resin, and alcohol. Flavors are similar with emphasis on resin and sugar plus some fruity esters. A lightly spiced Belgian Golden Ale. Okay. 24

Draft - Lots of dark coffee notes. Jet black with a decent light brown head. Throat heats up right away, bourbon barrel, coffee and more heat. It is nicely balanced though and the heat builds up nicely without ruining the beer.

On tap at Seattle Winter Beer Festival 2014, pours a deep dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out vanilla beans, whiskey barrels and some spiciness. Flavour brings out the spices upfront, with loads of chilis, followed by vanilla and light whiskey. This is dominated by the spicy peppers without being too dominated. Very nice stuff.

On tap at PIB, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out some spices, licorice, a touch of roast and some cocoa. Flavour brings out lots of licorice mixed with roasted malt and cocoa. Fairly prominent boozy barrel quality to this as well. Pretty harsh and a bit difficult to drink, but decent in small doses nonetheless.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy dirty orangey color ale with a nice foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of tropical fruits with some unrefined grainy notes is not as I was expecting. Taste is also dominated by fruity tropical hops notes with some unrefined grainy notes and some light residual sugar notes. Body is quite full with good carbonation with no real apparent alcohol. Not bad but something appeared to be a bit off with the malt bill.

On Tap at the Poulsbo tasting room Black with a dark tan thin head. Lots of sweet smokey Bourbon flavors. Caramel and chocolate and a littel holifday spice. Very prominant whiskey character. A little thin but very tasty

On Tap at the Poulsbo tasting room Slightly hazy deep golden. Nice off white head. BIG resinous hop aroma and lots of sticy juicy hop flavors. Plenty of residual sugars but are balanced nicely with plenty of tasty IBUS. The high rating is well deserved. Very nice. This and the Belgian Blonde are the best here.
