On Tap at Lortica, Bologna, Italia, 25.02.11 My dad said he gets liqourice and I knew what he meant. This is quite strong, pours black with a beige head. Easy drinking beer that slips down well, touch of cherryade came from nowhere. A7 A3 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5

On Tap at Lortica, Bologna, Italia, 25.02.11 This also seemed to be called ’dishwasher’ listed on the blackboard. Pours dark brown/chestnut with an off-white head. Nice softness in the mouth, bit tangy, slight thrusting bitterness, some coffee, but plenty of lovely hops, very nice. I was chatting to the barman Andrea? and a young chap (good homebrewer) who said that this brewery was set up by a chap from Cambridge, UK. Well he seems to have transferred over to Italy very well, his beers were going down well with the local and me, dad and Barry. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

(Bottle at Pikkulintu - 5.8 % ABV, batch 012/10) Poured deep amber and hazy. Head was quite large and almost white. Aroma was musty and contained mats and cow house. Palate was medium bodied and dry with low carbonation. Flavours were malts carboard, yeast, sweetness and mild bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and mildly bitter. Perhaps this bottle was too old.
