12oz canned 5/19/25, drunk 10/31/25.
Clear, bright, honey-orange. Rapidly fizzling, off-white head.
Questioned whether this was Belgian, but it does smell lightly Belgian. Just a touch of clove and white pepper. Light orange and such from Citra. Pretty good balance of hop and yeast with malt not interjecting too much. Just some dough and biscuit.
Light and fluffy with good Belgian yeast predominantly white pepper, light clove and coriander. Very biscuity, chewy texture, nice and supple with good attenuation. This is pretty well-made stuff even if it tastes like something that went out-of-style 20 years ago.

Canned 5/12/25, drunk 10/27/25.
Moderately hazy, peach-rose-tangerine. Big, frothy, well-retained, off-white head.
Juicy tropical fruit with a hint of berry, but no big acidity or astringency from the Krush. Spice and mild white grape from the well-behaved Nelson seems the most prominent, though hardly domineering. Simcoe seems to intensify both without leaving much of its own personality, which is fine with me (less woodiness). Clean, polished, cracker and white bread from the classic malt profile balances easily.
Big, succulent, sweet honey with tangerine and lemon acidity. Low bitterness. Almost a caramel character. Has obviously lost some zip over the months, but still shows an admirable aroma and hints of a bygone, ample bitterness. The malts are fat, though, which was almost certainly problematic when fresh. After pouring the remainder of the can in, I'm getting a more developed spice and lingering bitterness, giving more balance. Seems like a pretty well-made beer, just maybe tone the malt down (though their IPAs characteristically exhibit big, dense malts).

Canned 10/15/24, drunk 10/23/25.
Clear bright brass with a large, white head fading slowly to cover.
At a year old, having sat warm, this thing exhibits zero oxidation. Rich malts and showing a variety of notes from sugar cookies to sourdough, but primarily rich, sweet and comforting. Hops still lend big herbaceous qualities and the yeast helps dry with mineral and subdued fruit rind.
If the description is to be believed, then I guess this malt bomb is intentional. Pretty insane to be this malty at one year old with a warm rest. Or should I say, this sweet. It works fine since, miraculously, the hops are still ultra present. Not too sweet, at least. Very, very rich example, which is admirable. It's super clean and authentic.

CBJ tasting, thanks to Tips for the can. A light haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Airy palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth malts, fairly aged graininess. Soft pine. Ripe citrus. Airy finish. Tired.
