Panda at home, thanks to Graham, 21/03/2026.
Extremely dark mahogany brown topped with a khaki cap that thins to the edge.
Nose is chocolate biscuit, cocoa powder, dried fruit rinds, toasted brown sugars.
Taste comprises tangy fruit rinds, chocolate, charr, brown bread.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
Tidy for the style.

Bottled. Golden colour, mediumsized longlasting foamy head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is fruity, floal, mild citrus and spruce tones. Flavour is zesty, some slight spicy tones with mild lemongrass and some wooden tones. Quite dry and also a nice bitter kick in the finish.

23/6/2023. Bottle enjoyed picnicking on Pakefield beach. Pours mid to dark brown with a large frothy beige head. Aroma of toffee, raisins, dark fruits, brown bread, roasted malt, hints of black treacle, liquorice and camp coffee. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Lovely bittersweet dark fruit malty finish. Enjoyed this a lot more than those in 2016!
