Description
Whiplash began as a side project for Alan & Alex back in 2016. Both working in brewing already, they rented tanks at the weekend and released single batch small releases for fun from their own place of work and other friend’s breweries around Ireland. Professional beer dudes who were gypsying for fun. Things escalated and by the end of 2017 Whiplash was its very own pain in the neck with the guys going full time, brewing Whiplash beer all over Ireland and Europe. 2019 saw the two complete their microbrewery build and establish Ballyfermot, Dublin as Whiplash headquarters complete with their own custom designed brewhouse delivering small batches of big beers. Now with a home, a kit and a small crew: Whiplash are very much the Dublin brewery at the forefront of all that’s modern in Irish beer.

Panda thanks to Cloin. Just a light haze on this deep gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head that doesn't last. Smooth malts, quite a cereal grain thing. Soft cooling pine. Big candy fruits and a little ripe citrus. Some hop spice on the semi dry finish. Messy. Whiplash are better than this.

Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spliced with juicy come resinous hop bitterness.
Solid DIPA.

Can. A light haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Light palate, semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light pale malts, a light creamy sweetness, just a touch of grain, nothing bothersome. Cascade, Mosaic and Idaho 7 hops bring light cooling pine and juicy and slightly resinous citrus, bright tangerine and mandarin, broad spectrum Idaho 7 hop fruits and a little modern Mosaic candy fruits on the back end. Very light touch of hop spice. Breezy.

Panda thanks to Cloin. A light haze on this gold beer, a small off white head lasts a fraction longer than the modern average. Light palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light bodied but smooth and creamy sweet malts. Hops are juicy and reasonably bright. Tangerine and mandarin, a little tropical fruits. Almost candy fruits on the light and semi dry finish. A pleasant affair, good hop fruits.
