About
Whiplash began as a side project for Alan & Alex back in 2016. Both working in brewing already, they rented tanks at the weekend and released single batch small releases for fun from their own place of work and other friend’s breweries around Ireland. Professional beer dudes who were gypsying for fun. Things escalated and by the end of 2017 Whiplash was its very own pain in the neck with the guys going full time, brewing Whiplash beer all over Ireland and Europe. 2019 saw the two complete their microbrewery build and establish Ballyfermot, Dublin as Whiplash headquarters complete with their own custom designed brewhouse delivering small batches of big beers. Now with a home, a kit and a small crew: Whiplash are very much the Dublin brewery at the forefront of all that’s modern in Irish beer.

Can 440ml. @ home. [ As Whiplash Clap Hands ].Hazy - murky matt medium orange colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, wheat, moderate to heavy hoppy, orange, mango, spricot, warm tropical fruit. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, warm tropical fruit, orange, mango, apricot, fruity hops. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Can shared at Craft CG - cheers! It pours crazy cloudy golden - orange with a small white head. The aroma is fresh, creamy, juicy, bubblegum, big apricot vibes, peaches & cream, dank edge and wood. The taste is dry, bitter, dough y, floury white bread, green, weedy, spice, pine needles, ripe stone fruits, powdery rankness and a touch of alcohol warmth through the finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Well rounded, flavourful and ratger drinkable stuff. Nice.

440mL can, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out medium roasted malt and a touch of cocoa. Flavour is along the same lines, with medium roasted malt and fairly harsh alcohol. Not the most refined impie, but it's certainly pleasant.

Can at home, watching England in the World Cup Semi Final, 11/07/18. Hazed golden orange with a well presented off white cap. Nose is big on lemon zest, yuzu tones, floral notes, citric pith, floral whisper, herbal trace. Taste comprises lemon drop, airy malts, grass, light perfume, nectarine, sharp citric flesh, light breads. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close juicy hop bitterness. Ok APA if a touch overly perfumed and herbal.

Can from Bottle Baron. Murky golden body with a thin white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of pineapple, mango and biscuit. Flavour of orange, brioche and lemon sweets. Medium body with a creamy texture. Soft fizz. A thick, juicy DIPA.
