Description
Whiplash began as a side project for Alan & Alex back in 2016. Both working in brewing already, they rented tanks at the weekend and released single batch small releases for fun from their own place of work and other friend’s breweries around Ireland. Professional beer dudes who were gypsying for fun. Things escalated and by the end of 2017 Whiplash was its very own pain in the neck with the guys going full time, brewing Whiplash beer all over Ireland and Europe. 2019 saw the two complete their microbrewery build and establish Ballyfermot, Dublin as Whiplash headquarters complete with their own custom designed brewhouse delivering small batches of big beers. Now with a home, a kit and a small crew: Whiplash are very much the Dublin brewery at the forefront of all that’s modern in Irish beer.

150ml draught. Hazy golden body, filmy layer that laces quite well. Peachy nose with citric moments, inviting. Orange up front to the taste profile joined by grassy hops. Fruit hoppy ending with a welcome bitter twist. Like it (Tromsø, 21.07.2026).

0.44 l can from Ambasada, Zagreb shared with prof. Prezbelewsky, thanks. Hazy orange, small off-white head. Aroma is moderately hoppy, tropical at first, herbs, candy, malts, honey, and vegetables follow in the aroma. Smooth, medium body, juicy. Flavour is stone fruit, banana and candy. Sweet finish. Alcohol hidden.

Panda from Colin Bois. Cheers bossman. Dark and glossy brown. Foamy beige head. Aroma has smoke over light cacao and creamy malts. Flavourwise it's tanng and sour with a bitter core. Whisps of smoke. Medium bodied. Oily. Flat-soft carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. A tad muted.
