500mml. bottle. @The Underdog Pub, Dublin (Ireland). 17/08/2019. Pours slightly hazy golden colour with a frothy white head. Aroma is toffee, caramel malts and pine. Taste is medium bitter with a soft fruity presence and leading to an instense pine bitter finish. Next one please!

Pours virtually black from the bottle. The frothy tan head soon fades. Aroma is full of vanilla. Undertones of charred toast. Taste is sweet up front but the sweetness is soon overwhelmed by a dry, charred bitterness that, while moderate in character, still dominates the proceedings. There’s also an accompanying tartness that becomes more noticeable at the finish. Body is to the light side of medium but the range of flavors is still quite impressive given the relatively modest body. Carbonation is soft. Good.

Bottle. From a trade with Cunningham. A hazy golden colored beer with a white head. Some curtains. Fruity, lightly tropical, orangey aroma with a peppery, spiced touch and some herbal hints. Grass notes. It's full bodied, quite dry and nicely carbonated, with a pleasant bitterness. Fruity flavor with orange zest, a vague raspberry hint and some yeast. Peppery, herbal notes. Lasting fruit dominated finish. A bit yeasty in the flavor, else it's s very fine beer, even though it's close to two years past the best before date. 180518

Il gusto al naso propende per il floreale. L'intensità olfattiva è elegante e il modo in cui permane è considerevole. Il manto superiore è caratterizzato da una schiuma dalla buona tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana fine. Il liquido è di Il piano sottostante è di consistenza limpida. Bollicine medio-fini costituiscono la forma della frizzantezza. Il colore è giallo . L'amaro è carico. L'intensità gustativa è elevata, con buona continuità. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali che permangono sono luppolate. Il finale è amarognolo. Il retrogusto è intenso. L'aroma in bocca porta note di miele, frutta secca, resina, pino, agrumi e mandarino.

All'olfatto si esprimono sentori di luppolo. L'intensità olfattiva è normale. La continuità olfattiva è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma resiste poco. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana media. Il liquido è di aspetto nuvoloso. Bollicine fini costituiscono la forma del perlage. Il colore è ambrato rossiccio carico tendente marrone. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è carico. L'intensità gustativa è elevata. La costanza gustativa è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali che permangono sono luppolate. Il finale è amarognolo. Il retrogusto è intenso. Al palato arrivano impressioni di miele, frutta secca, luppolo, resina e mandarino.

Il gusto al naso viene catturato dal fruttato. L'intensità olfattiva è elevata e la continuità olfattiva è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma ha una scarsa tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine, come pure al piano inferiore, dove il liquido appare velato. Il colore è giallo dorato carico. Il corpo è pieno. L'amaro è medio. L'intensità gustativa è normale. La costanza gustativa è sufficiente. Il gusto è piacevole. Il finale è semplice e dissetante. Il retrogusto è di media intensità. Al gusto vengono donati toni di erba e cereali.
