Description
The Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery leads the Craft Beer Revolution in Ontario. Brewing radical Beers and creative Ales right on the waterfront in downtown Barrie since 2004, the Flying Monkeys was the first Ontario Craft Brewery to truly recognize the need to overthrow the conservative regime of macro-brews and timid small batch taste-a-likes and create a new Culture of Craft Brewing in our province.

Casting off the comfortable and respectable cloak of the Robert Simpson Brewing Company, and revealing our true selves as the Flying Monkeys late in 2008, we gave rise to the the collective creativity of our Brewery and committed our Brewhouse to the adventurous longings of the growing culture of Craft Beer Lovers in Ontario.

Lightly hazed medium gold with a small short lived off white head. Light spotty lace. Nose is bright mango and citrus with some stone fruit, pine, lavender, tea and coconut. Flavour follows with a light+ fruity sweetness of mango and nectarine leading to a medium citrus peel and resin bitterness. Mouth is full and creamy with soft carbonation and a sticky finish. Lightly warming.

slightly hazy pinkish purple pour, with an off white head. Aroma is just a blast of vanilla, and random berries. Some zesty citrus oils mingle in there with some light herbal notes. Mouth feel is soft, carb is the same. Bitterness is high and astringent. Fruit becomes slightly cloying, and bitterness becomes extremely pithy, and off putting with a harsh random berryness again. What an absolute mess.
