bottle pours black with a thin tan head. Aroma is sweet and creamy with lots of lacto aroma and burnt sugar. Flavor is nice. Some peanuts, black patent, charcoal and oats. Creamy mouth but still has a moderate carbonation that lightens up the finish.

Bottle from Deveney’s, Dublin. Darkish amber pour with a fast fading head. Sweetish aroma with some hop, but not really leaping out at you. Grapefruit , sweet malt and hop in the flavour, with a slight metallic tang towards the finish, which was dryish and moderately bitter. Tolerable, but nothing special.

Bottle, Deveney’s, Dublin. Slightly hazy bronze coloured pour with a fading medium off white head. Fruity resinous hop aroma with lurking sweet malts. Something else wierd, almost paraffin like, in the background. Satisfying hoppiness in the flavour with some nice grapefruit notes. Fruitiness continues on in to the lingering dry bitter finish. Not quite an international cap, but a very solid state player.

Draft. ESB isn’t my favorite style but ths beer was still not as good as others I have tried. A light balance between earthy hops and sweet malts.

Draft. A decent wit. Nice, light citrus aroma. Flavor is crisp with some fruity and wheaty notes. Light to medium in body with a very clean finish. Refreshing but not too exciting.

Hazy amber color; the bottle is a gusher; in the glass there is first of all just 100% frothy foam. Not much hop in the aroma (unfortunately the bottle is not fresh anymore), but some vegetables. Quite good caramel flavor, some residual sweetness; quite strong bitterness, but with no soul.

Amber color. The aroma is slightly hoppy and resiny, as expected, but not impressive. And indeed the flavor is too roasted: roasted nuts and roasted malt. Strong bitterness. It doesn’t go in the direction that I like.

@Uno’s Caskfest-pours a thin white head and hazy gold color. Aroma is pine/citrus-grapefruit hops, some medium malt. Taste is sweet light/medium malt, then herbal tea/medicinal hops, alcohol.
