Description
Beavertown was founded in 2011 by Logan Plant, the son of Robert Plant, singer with Led Zeppelin. At first established as a brewpub in De Beauvoir Town, East London as part art of the Duke's Brew and Que experience. Expanding means moving! In 2012 to Hackney Wick and in 2014 to Tottenham Hale.
In June 2018, it was announced that Heineken would be buying a minority stake, so that Beavertown could spend £40 million on a new brewery and visitor site. The new brewery was launched in 2020, with a capacity of 500,000 hectolitres, a ten-fold increase in their previous capacity.
As of 7 September 2022 Heineken has taken complete control of Beavertown and now has 100 per cent ownership. Founder Logan Plant will stay on as an adviser.

0,33 boks fra lokalsjappe, hos Izzy: klar gylden med fint skum som varer helt ned. Karameller, citrus, granskudd og andre lekre innslag. Kveldens siste, selv om den var farlig lettdrikkelig.

440ml can from Tesco. Dreaded putting this in the basket. Hazed golden orange pour, white head. Below average haze, mild ripened orangey exotic sweetness coming through, but seems a little tame.

Tight white head on a hazy pale golden coloured body. Punchy sweet citrus & mango aroma. Medium bodied, foamy on the tongue with a dry back. Pineapple, citrus, melon, pith & bitter hoppy tastes. All mixed up.

Keg at The Noose & Monkey. It pours lightly blonde with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is soft, bready, biscuity, leafy, grassy, floury bread and grain. The taste is crispy dry, bitter - sweet, snappy, grassy, floury bread, rich tea biscuit, leafy, spice, and some chalkiness with a drying finish. Average body and moderate carbonation. Easy going stuff.

(Keg at Birger, Hämeenlinna, 20220802) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had butter, fruitiness and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, creamy toffee, grass, malts, honey and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A nice hoppy brew with sweet and fruity notes.

Hazy golden beer, white head. Sweet fruity aroma. Flavour has some citrus, a little grapefruit and some biscuity malt but honestly for a Beaverton this is a bit meh and insubstantial.
