I am sad to say the only way this beer delivers is on aroma. The blueberry is very prominet here. The rest of the beer has little to offer. It looks like a plain, dark gold lager. The flavor has a hint of blueberry, with the standard Town Hall flavor. The after taste is of malt. I wish they went with a sour beer for this one. Blueberries are sour; I like sour beer and so do lots of other people, as evidenced by their decision to retain a lambic on tap for several years. Meh.

An interesting innovation but I would prefer a standart wit. There are aspects of a Belgian white, with light orange and coriander aromas as flavors. There is citrus as well. Rather light body, and a little thin. Gold color, with very little head.

This is a big, complex beer. It has qualities of an ipa, with considerable bitterness. There is also a fruit sweetness. The light aroma is malt and some fruit as well. Very heavy; definitely a sipper. One of TH’s better creations in some time.

Great aroma with tons of fruit. Light red, nearly pink color. Flavor is straightforward with hops. There is some citrus here, but mostly a bitter pale ale. A little sweet. Finish is very dry.

Roasted aroma. Light chocolate and coffee. Black, tan head. It looks like their oatmeal stout. Flavor is faily dry. Some chocolate again. Medium bitterness. Good.

2005 growler from Robertsreality! Pour is a 5 from me. Huge head, is well retained throughout most of the glass. Ample lacing is left and the beer is unfiltered with a magenta-orange-amber appearance and a yellowish head, nice and creamy. I’ve been wondering about this beer for some time now and wow did it deliver. Aroma is fresh hop juice, BUT not too bitter. More candied oranges, sweet caramel and toffee, peaches, cream, vanilla, light hints of grapefruit. Big and juicy. Flavor is even better than the aroma, IMO. Full body immediately delivers the malt, rich, creamy and moderately sweet, the caramel, toffee and honey all provide ample balance to the citric, juicy hops. While the hops and malt are nothing new, they are just so gloriously executed and the body and mouthfeel lacks nothing, or so I thought. Creamy smooth, with tingly carbonation and a finishing bitterness that almost goes too far, in my book, but not quite. Bit of pine acidity on the finish, brings back memories of the old DFH 90 minute, before they started filtering it. Almost a green hops flavor, like Amherst IPA. Juicy and fruity, creamy and malty, with natural carbonation. I can’t ask for much more out of an AIPA. Thanks so much Rob, this kicked ass! (on a side note, I think I have to give The Tap Leather Lips another try).

A near copy of O’Gara’s Apricot Wheat, from the brewpub in St. Paul. Light, fruit aroma. Orange with no head. Flavor is apricots supplemented by a gentle wheat taste. Sour. A good peach beer.

Aroma is mostly hops, but I did pick up some pine. Light orange with a large white head. Flavor is very bitter and mostly hops, followed by a smooth, wheat taste. This one gets a few extra points for an original idea. 6/3/6/3/14 ------------Tried again Sept. 2007. Good craftsmanship, but I don’t think I like the dry Simcoe hops as they are too dry in the flavor.

Doesn’t fit very well into any style, does it? The dubbel was a good call. I did get a dubbel taste but only for a few seconds. Sweet aroma, sweet taste. Rich. There is minimal fruit, but the sweetness seems to be from sugar.

I can’t figure out what they were going for here. Strangely sweet. There is grapefruit citrus in he aroma and flavor. It is lacking in wheat. I tasted very little wheat at all, and I expected more from a brewery that makes a world class hefeweizen and good wit. Comparable to Rogue Half e weizen, but not as powerful in the aroma or flavor.
