Growler fill. Little Leeds Beer House. Cloudy, orange gold. Messy, sticky, just off white head. Luscious, ripe stone fruit. Sweaty hop. Pineapple. Hint of strawberry. Vanilla malts. Taste is sweet, turning fruity, stone fruit bitter. Rich, smooth, silky mouthfeel. Robust, chewy bitter finish, with the fruity sweetness presiding. Cloudwater do little wrong for me, although this is a bit sweet. Too much stickiness. At the same time it’s juicy and fruity, and super tasty. Hard to knock.

0.33 l bottle from ’Slijterij Paauwenburg’, bottled in December 2015. Minimally hazy, golden yellow with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Fruity-resiny, slightly herbal aroma of mango, orange, spruce and some honey. Sweetish, already slightly bitter, fruity-resiny taste of mango, orange, some honey and spruce, followed by a rather long, medium bitter, slightly resiny and a bit herbal finish. Medium body, slightly creamy and effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Decent stuff, quite juicy, but not as outstanding as expected. But then it’s also four months old again.

Bottle from the Brew Cavern, Nottingham, Sunday 10th April 2016 sat in the office with Loz. Pours hazy, yolky yellowy orangey warm gold with a white head. Sweetness floods through, mango leads a tropical charge with some overripe apricot. There is a touch of booziness with warmth even coming back down the nostrils. Soft in the mouth, it is sweet but then the finish is remarkably dry. Lovely. A6 A4 T5 P3 Ov11 2.9
