Description
For over 15 years we have been proud producers of wholemeal craft beers, all strictly unfiltered and unpasteurized.
Beer is an age-old product and we wanted to interpret it in a contemporary key, always keeping a connection with tradition.
Birra OV is crafted with the aim, indeed the duty, to maintain the organoleptic qualities, totally avoiding preservaties’ use in order to guarantee both the high quality and the customer’s satisfaction, which will always be our most important goal.

Cask at BQ, Milan. Cloudy ruby, no head. Black currant aroma. Medium sweet and medium bodied. Dominated by black currant-like hops. The malt just supports the beer, the hops drives towards the marked bitter finish.

Bottled at Enoteca Decanter, Milano. Cloudy golden, rich firm head. Funky nose with grassy hops underneath. Mid-dry with some crispness. Slim and drinkable, refreshingly dry and hoppy. Finishes with medium bitterness.

Draught at IBF 2009, Milan
Cloudy golden color; small head. A simple Ale, quite sweetish, with light earthy aroma, good body strength, good bitterness level. There is some good hop, but the aroma is reluctant in showing it.

Bottle, 6.2%. 3 weeks past BB date. Citric aroma, seems infected. Cloudy red brown colour. Nice stable light brown head. The flavour is quite citric, clearly infected. Does have a little malt in the aftertaste. I am wondering if I should enter the rating. Perhaps it is unfair, but on the other hand it is only 3 weeks past BB date.

Bottle. Lactic roasted nose. Dark opaque brown, low brown cappucino nose. Roast, C&C base, light body, light herbs. Medium to light body, slightly sticky. Coffeeground retronasal. The longer I drink this the more I get the impression of a espresso refuse chute dissolved in water.

Bottle, 6.5%. Caramelly aroma, some roasted coffee, a little sweetness. Almost black colour, seems a little cloudy. Very small light brown head. The flavour is slightly sweet and creamy. It has a little cardboard, but is OK.

Bottle from Decanter, Milan
Cloudy amber color, small head. Too much yeast and glue in the aroma. It has some malt flavor, but still with the yeast that brings a light astringent mouthfeel; and there is strong bitterness, too much. It didn’t come out well.
