Pours bright golden. Very floral, with bright tropical fruit aroma. Moderate bitterness, lots of nectarines and fruits like that.

Cask, gravity at Merton Winter Beer Festival 04.02.11 This is extremely lively huge billowing tower of foam atop, and golden with a light haziness. The anticpated fruity aroma was totally overwhelmed by a big sulphourous blast which lingered for quite some time before eventually you did get a sense of something tropical in there. Taste is fruity however I also found this a touch sweet and not as crisp, fruity or zappy as I would have liked. Enjoyable yes, but Bottle Brook can and often do much better in the golden beer category. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0

Cask handpump at The Old Oak, Horsley Woodhouse, Derbyshire 30.01.11 Pours more hazy amber than gold. This just lacked a little life and zest compared to the usual Bottle Brook beers, however it was almost the last one from the cask so I suppose understandable. Touch sweet, with citrus and a middling bitterness. Ok. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0

Cask-conditioned at the Derbyshire beer festival, Seven Stars, Bristol 6/12/10. Deep gold with no head. Sweet, tropical fruit aroma with caramel. Flavour of oranges, pineapple and apricot jam, with plenty of sweet malts and moderately bitter finish. Too sweet for me.

Cask, gravity at The Old Oak, Horsely Woodhouse, Derbyshire, 05.11.10 Pours warm gold with a white rim of bubbles, it looks great. Nice clacky bitterness to this, nice furriness coats the roof of the mouth. Some soapy hops at the end, but the bitterness whilst not harsh in any way is the key thing here. A6 A5 T7 P4 Ov13 3.5
