Well carbonated. Some malt aroma. Flavor has some malt and wild yeast. a little fruit, but this is rather bland for a style of beer I usually enjoy. The high ABV is well hidden.

22 ounce bottle from the brewery. Wow. The top pops off with a large hiss and the head is huge. Decent head retention and excellent lacing. Aroma if leafy and tart citrus hops Taste is citrus hops and light caramel malts. There is a bitterness that kind of sneaks up on you. Medium bodied. A little one dimensional but well crafted.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. A gusher surprisingly. Pours with a huge, creamy mocha colored head over a pitch black body. Great lace and full retention. Tons of really dark roast on the aroma, cinnamon and vanilla. Taste is leather, roast, vanilla, mocha roast, and no alcohol at all. One of my favorite coffee beers I have tried so far. Syrupy mouthfeel (especially for the ABV), with medium carbonation.

Sample at O-town throwdown ’09 courtesy of fogdog. Pours black with beige head, nice golden lacing. Aroma has ample notes of roastedmalts and coffee. Taste, lots of roasted malty, good presence of coffee/mocha with a sweet butterscotch like mouthfeel that reminded me a lot of the goodness of ST creme brulee. No way to tell this was a 11.7% beer.

Sampled on draft at the brewery. The bartender informed me the ABV is close to 3.5%, though I don’t remember the exact amount. Pours a light golden yellow color with a medium head. Good head retention and lacing. Taste is tart with notes of yeast, cherry, peach, citrus and faint hop notes in the finish. Full bodied.
