Draft served in snifter pours hazy with lace of foam rimming the top. Carbonation appears on side of glass. Mouthfeel is light and crisp. Flavor has hints of citrus with lingering hop bitterness. Nice and refreshing - enjoyable. O

Hmm, so in my previous rating I complained that their pilsner (that I selected in favor of this one) drank a lot like a premium lager. So a week later i go back to the store and see these still sitting there and grab a sixer, wondering how they'll compare. And well, these aren't premium lagers despite the label, its light lager. Quite thin, grainy, corn especially. Mild hop zip at the finish. Pale gold color, foamy but quick fading head. Its pretty drinkable with slightly more flavor than most macro light lagers, but I guess I was hoping for more, like maybe an all-malt profile.

This is OK. I'm loathe to rate to style, but I found this on the shelf next to their "premium lager" and I hesitated for a moment to pick between them and opted for the pils. But you know, if you didn't tell me, I might peg this as just a premium lager. It has a touch of corn and grain on the malt profile, and the hops are fairly restrained, there is only just a faint whiff of something floral on the nose, no discernible hop flavors, and low to medium bitterness. So its above average as a beer, and especially as a "american lager" but below average as a pils. I don't know what that means for my numerical rating which I haven't scored yet, this is just my reaction. Pale gold color but good sized and long lasting head. Can from publix in Oviedo FL

At source: pours black with small head. Aroma is loads of rum, chocolate, earthiness. Pretty smooth. I drank this after I had Drood, so it seemed light in comparison.

Draught at source: still black. Oily as all hell. Aroma is wood, rum, vanilla, chocolate, loads of all of all of the above. Excessively decadent and rich. Super thick. Quite sweet. One of the more over the top beers I have had in my life.
