Description
The Brasserie du Bouffay, established in Carquefou, has been making craft beers since 1998, providing its customers with quality products. We offer and distribute our entire range ourselves, complete with ciders and non-alcoholic drinks selected by the brewery (fair trade, local and organic farming). All beers are pure malt, without adjuvant; the organic beer comes exclusively from barley from Brittany and Pays de Loire.

Bottle sample at a tasting a at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks Vova. Deep reddish amber with a beige head. Aroma of malt, caramel and fruitiness. Sweet flavor, sugary, caramelly, slightly toasty, with some fruitiness. Medium-bodied.

Lime and apple nose, with caramel undertones. Clear golden, medium head. Thin mouthfeel, but not quite watery. Lime dominant flavor. Fruity, but not very sweet and not very malty.

Sampled at the DC Ratebeer Gathering. 750ml bottle pours a transparent gold with a thin, cloudy white head. Very grassy aroma, herbal, wormwood, perfume. Flavor is better, sweet, tart, herbal, light lemon, a little grass, flower petals. Full bodied, herbal finish.

Bottle courtesy of Brad, thanks! Hazy bright yellow color, scant white head. Aroma of light hay. Taste has a sweet malt start and a standard blonde finish.

bottle from Village de la Bière Strasbourg France. Hazy golden colour, large white head. Malty, fruity citrus fruit, tropical fruit) with perfumy floral hops and a good malty background.

Bottle courtesy of Kinz on 11/11/2010. Mostly clear golden body with a medium frothy white head. Sweet fruit, pear and apple aroma on a light spicy background. Sweet fruit flavor, more light pear and apple, some spiciness and a slightly grainy finish. Medium light body with moderately high carbonation.

Capped 750 from Half Time. Pours orange gold with a white head. Aroma is near sour andbarnyard. Probably something else, but that’s all I can say. Med body. Flavor is grain and herbal hop. Very clean. Mayhap finishing with citric/grassy noble hop. Goes very well with food.

Bottled@Tuulensuu (ABV 6.2 %, from an old paper found among beer labels). Slightly hazy golden colour with a mediumsized creamy white head that leaves some slight lace. Aroma is earthy, a bit spicy, quite malty as well as some slight sourish wooden notes. Flavour is fruity, bready malty, a bit spicy, earthy as well as some mild farmyardy notes.

Bottle @ Papsø-Grand-Tasting, September 2010. Pours hazy golden with a small creamy head and lacings. Yeast, fruit , mould and cellar. Medium bodied. Dry short end
