11/10/10/11/9/11

Hopfiger Antrunk, mild, in Teilen wässrig. Weiterhin wässrig, das Bier besitzt keine großen Stärken. Etwas trocken grasig in die muffige Richtung. Naja... 11/6/7/7/7/7

500 ml bottle, UK style barleywine, vintage 2008, kindly shared by my beerpal Christian. ABV is 10.6%. Beautiful ruby colour, big off-white to beige head. Strong vinous and oaky aroma, notes of dark dried fruits and caramel. Sweet flavour but not extreme, notes of dark dried fruits and oak again, hoppy bitterness in the finish. A good beer from the (now sadly defunct) Danish HaandBryggeriet.

No signs of infection or stale hops. Have aged very well. ends sweet malty, licorice, sweet caramel, slightly nutty slightly alc. bitterness. Although a bit sweet, this is pretty good.

500 ml bottle. Quite pale, hazy orange to yellow body with a decent white head. Fine citric fruit aroma. Flavor is light malty with citric fruit and quite bitter. A really nice and easy drinkable IPA with decent hop profile.
