Tap at Old Fashioned. Lake Louie is really on the ropes, and should probably be put out of our misery. Another loser. The raspberry takes center stage, in a sweet, artificial, sugary way. Very weak example of a Baltic Porter. Underattenuated. No enjoyable character. Bad. Friendly numerical score for such a craptastic beer.

Really more of a dark malty berry beer. Not bad for that, but as a Baltic Porter?!? All I can say is I'm glad I just got a small glass.

Pours clear dark brown with a medium sized beige head, good lacing. Aroma of toasted malts, toffee and dark fruit. Flavor is malty, toffee, chocolate and raisins

Pours clear dark golden with a medium sized off-white head, good lacing. When I cracked the tip I could smell skunky beer. But after I got it in a glass it mellowed out some but it's still skunky. The flavor is better, pale malts, wet grains and resin
Old school bitter ipa.

Bottle: Black with a small tan head. Dark cherry/berry, chocolate aroma. Taste id bitter-sweet dark chocolate malt, black cherries, and a little bit of over-cooked bittering. Not as heavily bodied as expected..... Some alcohol dryness and harshness........a pretty nice sipper for this big of a beer.

This pours..whoah, caught it in time. It started to slowly, thankfully, gush out of the bottle. I didn't lose a drop. ;^)

It looks black but on closer observation, I can see brownish hues so I'll call it a very dark brown. Nice billowy head of tannish foam that forms a Devil's Tower on the top of my glass. Great head retention and there's plenty of sticky lacing.

The smell has notes of roasted malt, coffee, and some citrus hops in the background. A good nose overall.

The taste has huge notes of roasted malt. wow. Besides that, I get coffee, chocolate, maybe a touch of dark fruit, and some hop bitterness right before the finish. Quite complex and quite tasty though I think the roasted malt may be a tad overdone here.

Mouthfeel is medium, carbonation is fairly light, it finishes bitter with both roasted malt and dark chocolate. Lots of warming going on here from the alcohol. This would be a nice one to fall back on in the dead of winter.

Overall, it's a tasty brew that I think would be even better if it wasn't so darn roasty. Oh well, I'll still recommend that you give it a try.

This is one of my favourite styles. :^)

It pours from 12 oz bottle a hazy rusty brown with a 1 finger head of foam. It shrinks after a few minutes but there's still a fine layer(with god lacing) near the end of the session.

The smell is of roasted and caramel malt along with some notes of chocolate and just a wee bit of alcohol.

The taste has the caramel malt up front and gives me a nice sweet flavour. Now I get a bit of chocolate, big toffee, some smoke(nicely done) and some roasted malt. There's also some hops hiding in the background that I find more prevalent in the finish. Yum. The alcohol is just noticeable after the swallow but doesn't interfere with the flavour at all.

The mouthfeel is medium bordering on heavy and feels silky smooth. Yum again. That toffee is really make this one very drinkable given the alcohol content. I'm really happy that I got to try this Wee Heavy as it's a darn good one!

12 ounce bottle from Downer Wine. Clear amber, thin creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of tannins, leather, bready malt, stone fruit. The taste is spice, bready malt, grape, stone fruit. Medium bodied, lingering spice. Solid.
