Description
In 2014, Sam Richardson, Matt Monahan and Andrew Burman founded Other Half Brewing Company, a local brewery in New York City with a simple mission: to create beers that they wanted to drink from a company that they wanted to be a part of. Their vision was to build a passionate team that brewed great beers in the state of New York—done so with effort and thoughtfulness—to represent the “Other Half” of the industry. Today, Other Half craft beers in their Brooklyn brewery and are dedicated to collaborating with breweries both in New York as well as across the world in an effort to constantly move the industry forward while elevating the craft. The Other Half team believes that local breweries play an important role in their communities which is why they partner with these other likeminded brewers and brands in local nabes across the country and the world—but always return to their home state of New York and their Brooklyn taproom.

Can picked up from Beyond Beer webshop Hamburg and consumed at home at the top of the garden after a day of gardening, it's been a very warm day it's 25c 😯. Pours hazy mid/dark amber large foamy white head, there's an earthy, hedgerow hoppiness to this but it's certainly hoppy, light citrus touches, bitterness is steady but subtle, light caramel touches, light maltiness, it's a good example of an ESB. Score: 7.3

The subdued aromas are malt, pepper, a little citrus and resin. Flavors are similar to nose and on the sweet side with some bitter and soft carbonation to balance. Maybe some hints of fruit punch in there.

Canned, huge thanks Cuso for sharing! Clearish golden body, off-white head, medium retention. White grape and floral hoppy notes in the otherwise malt-forward aroma - huh, not in top shape. Smooth malty, minerally, resinous taste, citrus fruits and light herbal notes, some oxidation sweetness, but okay.

Canned, huge thanks Cuso for sharing with us! Murky greenish yellow body, off-white head. Sweet pineapple, unripe mango and some onions in the aroma. Smooth taste, more unripe mango/fruit notes, onions, light pineapple, oats and light brown sugar. Not in terrible taste, bit heavy-handed at moments, but the body lifts it up slightly!

Aromas are resin, citrus, malt and leather. Flavors are similar to nose and just slightly sweet over bitter send carbonation. Finishes a bit medicinal.

Can to becher glass.
Appearance: pale hazy burnt yellow almost milky but hazy color with a rock topped frothy white head which took it's time to dissipate and once it did some messy lace clung to the glass.
Aroma: peachy to passion fruity to lychee-ish and a slight note of mint - nice smooth hop tones; barely noticeable clean malts
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a sweet to slightly bittersweet and a dry sweet quality; finishes slightly peachy with passion fruit and a sweet spot of mint with an edge of dryness
Texture: light to medium bodied; sessionable; very smooth along the tongue; nice low carb and low hop bitterness assertiveness
Overall: wish I could solely rate a beer on aroma as this would be an absolute knockout, though the other departments did quite well on this beer.

Can to becher glass.
Appearance is as shown in the picture.
Aroma: lychee to grapefruity to apricot-ish with some pineapple then a little bit of piney hops in the middle; low key malts
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to juicy bittersweet quality; finishes about the same with a wee little bit of dryness
Texture: light to medium bodied; sessionable; good smoothness with a low carb; medium to low hop bitterness assertiveness
Overall: pretty good NEIPA I would have again but if anything could be changed just lower the hop bitterness assertiveness just a little bit.
