Draft at GABBF: Poured a brown coppery orange with an off white head. Aroma hoppy and soapy. Taste was nice hops balanced with malts.

Draft at GABBF: Poured a black color with brown head. Aroma and taste was super chocolatey and nice bitter coffee to break up the sweetness. Finished dry.

I see it says \"stout\" on here. My bad, I thought it was a double stout and poured it into a snifter.
Here’s the rest.
The appearance was a nice looking dark brown color ranging close to black. A slim finger’s worth of tan milky head formed and dissipated within about thirty seconds. Stringy lacing glosses along the sides of the glass.
The smell was a sticky sweet to light roasty espresso and a light cocoa.
The taste copied the smell to keep sweet and roasty smooth leading to a decent sweet dry espresso aftertaste. There’s a semi - dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation came across pretty smooth and practically barely there.
Overall, actually there’s nothing wrong with this beer. Iron Horse hits everything well. Next time I hope to have in a pint glass for proper glassware. I have to admit there’s a number on the side that says 101414, is that the bottling date? I don’t know.

Deep brown & cola coloured body with a brown glow and a relatively thinnish, single centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of lactic sugars, malt, roasted nuts, earth and a bit of coffee, all with some caramel notes. Light-bodied; Strong lactic note up front with a very thin body and a light vanilla and malt flavour with little else giving this depth. Aftertaste shows some sweetness from caramel and milk and not much else, aside from some vanilla and light coffee notes. Overall, a pretty subdued beer, but with the ABV at this level, it was almost expected. Not a bad offering for the winter weather, but don’t expect too much from this one. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Belmont Station in Portland, Oregon on 07-December-2013 for US$5,50 sampled at home in Washington on New Year’s Day, 01-January-2015.

Draft pour. I want to start off by saying that I love the tag line for this beer. Knowing it well ahead of time, I removed the lemon that was incorrectly placed on this glass. Nothing against lemon. I love lemon flavor, and lucky for me, this beer naturally has this flavor, along with a bunch of other spices and herbs. All mild howeve4, making this a super drinkable beer, and a good one at that. Pours a hazy light orange color with a mild herb like aroma. Finishes sweet and smooth. I’ll get this beer again. Great for when I want something light. Good stuff.

Draft pour at Frankies pizza. Pours a dark reddish brown with a thin cola head. Strong coffee beans aroma. Mostly coffee bean flavor, unbalanced, with just a little bit of chocolate. Finishes pure espresso. Interesting beer. Not quite what I expected. A little more balanced would be nice, but good flavor overall. Not bad.

Cloudy golden color. I rarely had a beer with such strong bread, water cracker and dough character (flavor and aroma); smooth, a bit light in the final, with light fruity touch, and very light rosemary aroma.
Strange but pretty interesting.

Beautiful dark amber color, clean. Nice fruity hops, but the strong caramel flavor, although good per se, doesn’t mix well; it also has a light diacetyl note, but it’s still a robust and good beer.

Hazy amber color with small creamy head. Good piney hops, mostly in the aroma, with light lemon; it seems to have some rye flavor, but the final is slightly soapy.
Messy.

22 oz. bottle, pours a hazy amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out loads of resinous hops and caramel malt -- not the most complex, but seems well-balanced. Flavour is way over-malted, with sugary candied malts, syrup, caramel, and resinous hops. Chewy, with an over-malted backbone. Decent, but too much malt for a IIPA for me.
