Bottle shared in London - thanks to Paul. Pours totally clear amber-gold with a bubbly off-white head. Bready malts in the nose, some toffee, ripe fruits, berries. Medium sweet flavor with sugary bread, toffee, some leafy hops, brown sugar. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes sweet and bready with more toffee, ripe berries. Not bad.

Bottle shared at Leighton’s. It pours clear deep brown with a small off-white head. The nose is toasty, twiggy, brown bread, caramel, sweet citrus rind and toffee. The taste is smooth, watery, toasty grain, brown bread, twig, pepper and earth with a short, dry finish. Light - medium body and fine carbonation. A bit tepid, but ok.

Bottle from Randalls Arcade Corkscrew shop, St. Peter Port, Guernsey and enjoyed on ferry back to Jersey. Pours a chestnut brown with a decent white head, dissipating with no lacing within minutes. Aroma is one of intense cocoa, with room for little else. Medium sweet with minimal bitterness. Thin body and an oily texture. Average carbonation. Helped relieve the boredom of a Channel Island ferry crossing.
