Description
We find that the best moments in life — the most memorable — are when we spend time in the company of those who are most important to us. Our beer and spirits are made for these moments.

It all started for us in 1997 when Brett VanderKamp believed that his hometown and the brewing industry were due for a shakeup. And so, New Holland Brewing Company was born in Holland, Michigan near the shores of Lake Michigan.

Today, New Holland is recognized as one of the leading innovators in the revolution of craft brewing and distilling. With nearly 500 team members, New Holland’s craft beer and spirits are sold across the country, and around the globe. Our retail presence continues to grow with two full-service restaurants, a spirits tasting room, two brick-and-mortar stores and an online store.

We look forward to finding moments to connect and enhancing the lives of people around the world.

I used to like this one a lot more back when there was a chocolate element that has disappeared. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a medium sized dark tan head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was dry roasty malts, bitter coffee and floral hops. The flavor was dryish, bitter and roasty with light notes of coffee, wood and floral hops. Long finish. Medium body. Meh.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy bright golden color with a small white head. The aroma was dry and spicy with notes of cinnamon and nutmeg. The flavor was dry and spicy with strong cinnamon and nutmeg elements. The spices completely dominated this beer and leave very little "beer" like flavor to be detected.

+++RE RATE 12-Jul-08+++
22 oz bottle shared by csbosox. Pour is golden orange brown with a very thin off white head. Aroma strong full booziness, strong orange citrus. Caramel maltiness. Some smoky grassiness underneath. Taste is full, dripping with nectar sweetness, burnt caramel and a pretty big shot of booze at the end. Palate is full, wheat is evident in the aftertaste. This had improved a bit from last rating (7,3,7,4,14 - 3.5) Thanks for sharing this Chris.

Bottle, 10%. Good fruity aroma, dried fruit, apricot. Cloudy dark orange colour. Small, soft, creamy head. The flavour is nicely fruity, creamy, quite bitter and with some alcohol. The mouthfeel is almost slimy, but OK.
