Bottled (thanks Phil_L!). Golden colour, not much head. Aroma is mild US hops with some slight fruityness and caramel. Flavour is mainly hops only. Quite standard US IPA.

Bottle Kerstbierfestival 2007, brought by Phil_L. Poured a golden color with a white lacy head. The aroma is hops and piney. The taste is a bit of a let down with just mild hoppiness. Still a good beer to reach 1100 ratings.

12 fl oz bottle, thanks to Phil_L. Pours golden orange with a lacing white head. Pine and orange fruity aroma. Solid caramel malt base beneath. Flavour is ice-tea like without sugar, dry peachy and no malt at all. Nice but lacks some depth. Bitter fruity finish.

Bomber (picked up in Ann Arbor, MI March, 2007) pours clear copper with tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of fruit like dates, plums, raisins and ripe cherries. There’s also creamy toffee and caramel sweetness along with slight hay component that must be the wheat. Smells terrific. Wow, first taste is just about as good as it smells. There are hints of alcohol that hit upfront and ride to the finish with some warming sensations that are a bit too strong and detract some from the experience. On the good side are the tasty fruity notes of cherries, raisins, dates and prunes. The malts come off just as they smell in the nose with sweet caramel candy, toffee and hints of wheat. Maybe this needs more cellaring to even out the slightly high alcohol influence. Very enjoyable now and is one of those beers I’m glad comes in a bomber.

Crystal clear golden coloured body with a dense and long-lasting white head. Aroma of fresh dry malt, doughy yeast, sourdough bread and a tiny bit of light hops. Light-bodied; Nice fresh malt flavour with a subtle sweetness and a light crisp, airy effervescence. Aftertaste shows a bit more sugar, some light hops and mostly very light malt. Overall, I thought it was a pretty good kolsch, a GREAT beer for a very hot summer day and light meals. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan on 13-December-2007.

My bottle was purchased in December of 2007. Sweet aroma is mildly present. Dark brown in color. Not much fizz, rather flattish. Not as strong as anticipated. Almost like an alt in character. Hoppy back bite. Dark beer flavors combined with typical dark ale. Though not readily apparent, has an alky impact that lingers around the palate.

(Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of boboski. Slightly hazy dark brown with a dense, creamy, beige and lacing head. Fat aroma of malt, fruit and dried fruits. Medium body with notes of dried fruit - raisins in particular. Lightly sweet yet with a somewhat dry and hoppy finish. Unusual. 201107

This rating is for the 2007 release of Cabin Fever. This beer has been relaunched by the brewer as a malty brown ale. All ratings for the 2007 release should be placed here. Medium-dark brown body, translucent, thin-medium off-white head. Aroma of chocolate and toast, balanced by earthy hops. Dry, cerealy body, with Cheerios and milk chocolate. Dusty, earthy. Solid medium body. Well-crafted.

bottle - Pours yellow and slightly hazy with a thin head. The aroma is mild malt with a trace of citrus. The pale malt flavor is joined by some crisp bitterness, mostly in the finish. It’s light and a little watery.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty combined with notes of caramel and berries, with a slight acidic note lying in the back ground. The flavor is acidic malty with notes of over ripe fruits, dusty hops, and oxidation, leading to a dry and slightly alcoholic finish.
