At Great Taste 2015. gold color, clear. Almost no carbonation. Definite honey flavor that stays in the aftertaste. It is sweet but not cloying. Refreshing and seems like even though I am sure the alcohol is high.

bottle - Pours clear red-orange.It smells of honey, alcohol, and blueberry. The flavor is sweet and full of honey with a certain tartness from the fruit, but the fruit flavor is subtle. While I think I could identify it as berries without the bottle in front of me, I’m not sure I’d specifically name blueberries. It works. It’s sweet enough that it would be best with dessert and I think I’d prefer a bit drier, but it’s not cloying.

Full glass at the winery. Light, nearly clear. Light carbonation, light sweetness. Refreshing with good flavor, a good alternative to other summer beverages like a shandy or cider.

Sampled at the wintery December 31, 2011. Served as "Honey of a Plum." Sweet with some light spice. Honey is sweet and there is dried fruit with plum as well. A sweet, fruity mead. I prefer it to their strawberry or raspberry meads.

10 month aged in bourbon "exceptionally rare" bottle thanks to Secret Santa! Bottle lists 11.5% ABV. Pours with a completely clear golden hued body. Still. Very sharp legs that take a while to finish cascading. Heavenly aroma! A bit boozy, tons of bourbon, vanilla, decadent honey, sandalwood, dry, oaky, molasses, dry apple, a light woody spice note. Very complex! Really awesome bourbon interaction without dominating. Complex and very enjoyable aroma. Feels a bit boozier in the taste than the aroma. Dry wood notes, some dry apple, bourbon. Semi to the light side of medium sweet which suits it. Well rounded by tannin that also lends to a dry-er finish. Medium viscosity. Warming, tannin, medium dry. A bit of a crisp bite. Well rounded and balanced. Great bourbon intricacies. Very nice!
