750 mL bottle from Festival Northland, on sale, as if mead goes bad. Clear pinkgold, moderate legs. Aroma of sweet strawberry, honey, lemon, a medicinal hint. Taste is tart and sweet strawberry, almost jammy, honey. Again just very faintly medicinal. Bright. Solid.

Bottle 1/9/22, from Woodman’s Eau Claire. Been looking for this for years so grabbed it despite the $33 price tag. Shared this at a tasting earlier and everyone was impressed, and so its nice there’s a good bit left over. Clear deep ruby red, extremely strong legs. Aroma of strong currant, grape, honey, even some oak, though I don’t think this is oak aged. Taste is sweet honey, vanilla, currant, Concord grape, raisin, booze. Full bodied and warming but very drinkable for the ABV. This is very nice.

Pours clear reddish orange with a mostly honey aroma and more subtle berries. The flavor is very sweet. Mostly honey. There’s some raspberry in the background. It’s alright though too sweet. I’m not seeing that in the other reviews and I’m wondering if the taste got sweeter as it aged. My bottle was maybe five years old.

12 ounce bottle from the winery. 1/7/20. Clear dark red, kinda like cranberry juice. Thin foamy tan head, but i think that might have been from the IPA I drake in the same glass. I meant to type drank in that last sentence, but you gotta admit that was a nice typo for me. Aroma of sweet apple, earth, berry, glue. What's with the weird glue notes in these ciders? Taste is sweet berry, apple (both sweet and tart). Tart berry notes follow. A bit of vanilla and honey. Medium bodied, crisp, lingering tartness. Pretty nice.
