Bottle in Parrsboro. It pours clear golden with a decent white head. The nose is soft, rather doughy, grass, mild sweetness and cereal. The taste is crisp, bitter, minerals, grassy, white bread and just a touch of spice with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Good bitterness to it. Solid lager bier.

Light murky pink color, 1 finger head. Nose is medicinal, vinegar with a very healthy dosage of raspberry and cherry. Hmmm, the taste is pretty good. Nice balance of berries, malts, tart tastes. This is hard to rate. itβs a decent beer but not a lot of depth.

Bottle from the propeller. It pours light hazy deep amber with a decent white head. The nose is sweet, sticky, crystal malt, toffee, sweet floral, pine and mild stewed orange. The taste is bitter-sweet, toffee, candy, crystal malt, sticky, chewy malt, peppery, waxy citrus rind, floral stuff, stewed orange, piney varnish, resin and alcohol warmth towards the finish. A sweet and chewy. A little rough around the edges. Not great.

Bottle from the brewery. It pours lightly hazy amber with a decent white head. The nose is soft, juicy, piney, spice, caramel, rye bread and some stewed orange. The taste is bitter, some sweet toffee, chewy malt, brown bread, quite spicy, rye, varnish and pine with a dry finish. Medium body, average carbonation and chewy mouth-feel. Quite chewy, overly so. Not bad.

Keg at the brewery. It pours clear deep red-brown with a thick yellow-white head. The nose is earthy, toasty, brown bread, cereal and grain. The taste is smooth, earthy, malt-driven, brown bread, toast, caramel and light spice. Light - medium body and moderate carbonation. A rather decent example of the style. Good body for the abv. Nice.

500mL bottle, sent from wilco (thanks a lot, Mike), pours a dirty dark orangey brown with a medium white head. Nose is very malty, with loads of caramel malt, syrup, candied sugar and resinous hops. Flavour is unfortunately the same, with a way over-malted body, some resinous and piney hops, and some residual candied sugar. Way too malty and sweet for my taste, but somehow you get more accustomed to it after a while. Off the mark, but decent.

Bottle from the Liquor Store on PEI Pours a solid black color with a huge frothy tan head that persists forever. Vinous chocolate fudge and caramel maltiness dominate the aroma. Light earthy floral round out the nose. The flavor is rich thick chocolate caramel and roast with quite a vinous fruity edge to it. Light smoke and earth round us out nicely. Medium body with a light level of carbonation and a rich creamy ashy mouthfeel. Wow thats a pretty nice stout right there! Reminds me a lot of Bellβs Expedition, I really enjoyed this.
