re-released in 2023 as Malheur 5 summerbeer.
Pours hazed yellow, medium white head. Scent is fresh, citrus, easy but assertive. Taste is sharp, bitter, refreshing. Citrus. Very refreshing indeed. Might have enjoyed a bit more aroma here, but otherwise very decent.

Based on Malheur 10, this beers offers different hops and extra spices. Pours unclear, darker blonde. Small white head. Scent is very spicy, cardamon, bit too high on spices, lacks some balance. Taste is full, fairly bitter, malty, spices are better in balance in the taste than it was in the aroma. Mildly sweet finish.

Tap at Cafe Belge. Med-thin body, rather low carbonation. Pretty serious oxidation, lots of cardboard, dried fruits, not in a very good way unfortunately. Moderate caramelly toasted maltiness, subtle spicy phenolic yeast character. Okay.

11,5 ABV version. Pours orange brown with a finger of rather quickly dissipating light tan head. Aroma of caramel, sweet malty, spicy, quite fruity, a hint of alcohol, earthy. Taste is medium sweet and bitter. Body is full, carbonation average. Finish is long, fruity, caramel and pleasant bitterness. Alcohol is well hidden, but it becomes more and more boozy with rise of temperature.
