Bottle at Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering 2015, Ulfborg. Pours very dark brown with a bubbly beige head. Aroma of licorice, fudge, roast, coffee, dark chocolate and toffee. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter. Above medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Tap @ Kimchi festival 2015. Hazy amber/red color. Dense off white head, not lasting. Aroma’s: roast, fruit, light sour, caramel. Retronasal it’s smokey, red fruit, swet&sour. Flavor is moderate sweet, smokey, fruity. Medium bodied. Light bitter finish. Interesting and refreshing.

33 cl bottle @ home - bought at the brewpub. Hazy orange/light amber color. Big (almost) white head, a bit frothy. Aroma’s of resin, citrus/citrus zest, light sourness. Retronasal it bitter, citrus, resin, some malty sweetness too. Flavor ismoderate sweet, moderate bitter, with hints of (citrussy) sourness, nicely balanced. Medium bodied. Rather high carbonation. Long finish, rather bitter, but not puckering. Really good!

Dark yellow colour. Aroma has mostly piney hops with some tropical fruit too. Body is quite thin and light. The flavour is like the aroma but less intense.

Draft sample @ Van Moll fest 2015, Eindhoven. Brune voire ambrée troubel, col blanc-cassé. Arôme reste assez médicinal et herbacé, malté moyen avec une pointe de grillé cara et pâle, retrouve un côté rustique mais dont le dominant herbacé reste la note majeure du bouquet. Palais garde, ici aussi, un niveau herbacé dominant, retrait malté rappelant un peu le romarin ou origan? Levure est plus en retrait avec un fini axé sur l’épicé.

Rich tasting. Roasted malt bitterness and sweet finish. There’s a fruity kind of tang to this one.

Draft sample @ Van Moll fest 2015, Eindhoven. Dorée, léger orangé, col épais blanc-cassé. Arôme offre une pointe herbacée avec une levure type belge-saison? assez dominante, retrouve un rétro épicé et également rappelant la mousse de sous-bois. Palais conserve un profil clairement orienté levure, avec un houblonné modéré qui ajoute des notes de fleuri, et noble. Rappelle un peu un ^coté gruut, léger citrique et tjrs épicé. Ok, mais dont le fini semble un peu ’off’.

Draft sample @ Van Moll fest 2015, Eindhoven. Cheers to you René! Brune foncée, col crémeux léger café au lait. Arôme offre une présente notable de malts, le tout tire dans des tons grillés et chocolatés mais restant cependant assez habituel de grands stout impériaux. Palais est malté avec une prépondérance pour le chocolaté et grillé. Le tout demeure cependant assez terreux,sec voire poussiéreux. Pointe d’amertume sur la fin laissant percer les houblons - fruité citronné fin. Le tout garde un profil collant aux lèvres.

Sampled draft @ Van Moll Fest 2015. Murky dark brown with no head. Nose is odd herbs, lavender, spices, very odd herbs, thyme, rosemary,… Body & taste is a bit watery, herbal, huge spices akin to rosemary, some thyme, sugar, oregano, spices, weird herbal,… Doesn’t entirely work but interesting.
