Clear golden colour with thin head. Strawberries and basil noted in the aroma. Half decent pale ale with a touch of strawberry. A touch more lemon would be welcome.

Draught at Van Moll. Golden orangy color, white head. "Some bitterness nice brew" as Dean would say. Personally I'd say malty a bit, firm hoppiness, almost a little hopburn, hoppy bitter in the finish but again some over the top hop influence. Hmm something annoys me in there. Okay though.

Druaght at Van Moll. Clear pale golden color, white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, hops. Nothing too exciting though. Drinkable but nothing fancy.

Can, 6.2%. Dusty anad papery aroma. Cloudy golden colour. Small white head. The flavour is papery and strangely fruity/spicy. OK malt base, but old-tasting and odd-tasting hops. 535313

Bottle. Color: Very dark brown, light brown head. Aroma: Boozy Rum, dark malt. Taste: Dark malt, caramel, sweetish and boozy Rum. Don't get anything from the Champagne barrel. Oak wood notes, some vanilla. Some marzipan, almond. Smooth. Over medium to full body, below average carbonation. Over moderate to medium sweet. Moderate bitterness going to over moderate at the dry-ish finish. Very nice one.

On tap at Het Lagerhuys, pours a mostly clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is very fruity, with lots of fresh stone fruits, resinous hops, and a touch of pine. Flavour is bold and assertive, with intense resinous hops, like, and fresh stone fruits. Forceful hops, nice and fruity, and yet balanced. Really solid.

Geprobeerd met LiekevdV, Inoven, SandervdL en Roelzie op het Nederlands Speciaalbier Festival 2023 in den Bosch. Het is een oranje geel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een volle hoppige geur. De smaak is vol, fruitig en hoppig.

Bottle. Color: Almost black, beige head. Aroma: Roasted malt, fruity, hints of coffee. Taste: Smooth, even a bit creamy, roasted malt, subtle coffee, caramel, well balanced with some sweetish and fruity grape / raisins / Madeira notes. Full body, below average carbonation. Bit spicy. Very nice.

33cl bottle at home. Poured pitch black in color. Balanced barrel notes with roasted malts, light vanilla, wood and bourbon all in very good balance. Superb.
