About
Yvan DE BAETS and Bernard LEBOUCQ meet each other in 2002, during the second edition of the Zinnekparade. Bernard had created the now famous ZINNEBIR for this unique Brussels event. However, it took another five years for BRASSERIE DE LA SENNE to settle effectively in the capital. In the meantime, the brewing activities were continued at friendly breweries. This bohemian existence came to an end on December 22, 2010, the date of the very first 100% Brussels brew!

33cl Fles van De Bierkoning. Iets mistig, lichtgele kleur, witte kraag. Droog, licht kruidig, korianderzaad, licht bloemig, iets kruidig-harsig, smaak is fris, droog, hint van citroen, korianderzaad, tarwe, bitter. Lichte body. Onmiskenbaar een witbier, maar met de De la Senne-klasse.

Bottle from Cornelius. Hazy golden body with a white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of lemon, raw potato, lime peel and minerals. Flavour of cucumber and sourdough. Medium body with a smooth, frothy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. A muted and tasty saison.

Chop @ Delaneys, Odense. Pours cloudy Golden with a White head. Bready malts, zesty orange Peel, a touch of barnyard. Super Smooth and Well balanced. Yeast and hops doing it perfect. 4.2

Keg at the Hop Locker, Southbank Market. Hazy darker orange. Delicate foamy white head. Aroma is bitter and herbal. Flavourwise it's similar to the aroma - herbal and added resin. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-flat carbonation. Long dry astringent finnish. Good stuff.

Il gusto al naso è indirizzato verso il fruttato. La finezza olfattiva è elevata e la maniera in cui permane è sufficiente. Il mantello birroso superiore ha una buona tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il liquido è di consistenza limpida. Il colore è giallo dorato brillante. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è pronunciato e c'è anche una componente leggermente acidula. La forza gustativa è molto elevata. La continuità gustativa è buona e persistente. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra beverina. Il retrogusto è intenso. Sul tetto della bocca si fermano sentori di miele, cracker, biscotto, frutta secca, agrumi, arancia, mela verde, chiodi di garofano, frutta passita, banana, burro, pepe bianco, uva passa e vaniglia.

Aroma of pineapple, spicy herbs, grass, pine, dough. Tastes similar.
Medium mouthfeel, with a moderate carboantion. Finishes moderately bitter, fruity, grassy, piney.
Very quaffable and perfectly balanced, as always, with clean, bright pineapple notes and interesting herbal and grassy notes.
