(Bottle) Golden amber colour, slightly hazy, with foamy off-white head. Fruity, slightly spicy nose with notes of lemon, ginger, orange and herbs. Fruity, tart taste with lemon, ginger, lime and herbs. Low bitterness. Don't get much pepper. Medium body, dry. Refreshing. Quite nice.

Bottle. Pours deep brown, almost black colour with a handsome beige head that doesnt last long. The classic yeasty-flowery Belgian character appears, but with a moderate yet noticeable roasted earthy/coffee touch. It’d be a pretty interesting beer altogether but it’s so heavily overcarbonated that it’s quite hard to enjoy.

Tap at Monyo. Deep, clear golden, thick white head. A bit watery body, unsophisticated hoppy character. Light body, average carbo. Bit of a meh.

Bottle shared at Hopa, thanks to the BPBW crew for this one. Nose is resinous hops, some bready malts, slightly oxidized. Taste is moderately bitter, showing resinous hops again and some sweeter malts too. Light, pleasantly dry body, average carbonation.

Can at home from Csaka. Pours deep pink with quickly disappearing white head. Nose is light coconut, raspberry, a touch of strawberry perhaps, light citric and lactic sourness. Taste is sour and sweet candy-like notes of berries, lactic acid, lactose and perhaps some coconut, but it might be just me knowing there’s coconut in there. Rather plain all in all and interestingly there’s something that feels artificial about this, but i cant really put my hand on what it might be. Closes with moderately sour strawberries, has light body and soft to average carbonation. A bit one dimensional and nothing we havent seen yet.

Bottle at home from Csakajó, 6% ABV version, BB 2020 dec. Pours opaque golden with quickly disappearing white head. Nose is faint pineapple, some acidic touch perhaps, not much going on here. Taste is low pineapple, a very restrained coconut to it, moderately tart, perhaps somewhat malty. Closes with some pineapple and coconut in the finish, has light body and soft to average carbonation. The pineapple character is waaay too restrained all the way through (let alone the coconut), and without it it's just quite mediocre.

Can at home, koszi Kini! NYE Beer #2. Pours beautiful deep burgundy with pink head. Nose is a nice combo of blueberry and pineapple and perhaps a touch of beetroot but it might be just me knowing. Taste is tart and sweet, it shows notes of berries and and a touch of pineapple. Too much on the sweet side for a berliner. Closes with a kinda sweet, kinda tart finish, has a light body and soft carbo. No trace of the beetroots or coconut and as I mentioned it’s too sweet. Meh.

On tap @ BPBW, Saturday session. Deep golden, thick head. Crisp, and refreshing pilsner, good one.

Bottle shared at home. Pours deep brown, almost black, with thick head. Nose is chocolate, faint roasted notes, grains and some fruits. Taste follows the aroma, so far so good, but it’s sooo agressively carbonated that it ruins the experience. Otherwise it’d be much better.

Bottle at home. Aroma is malt, bread, floral, fruits, herbal notes, hint of yeast and hops. Flavour is light sweet with a hint of tartness and a little bitterness in the finish. Body is medium. Certainly drinkable, but hardly a good Saison, I mean where’s the funky yeast?
