16oz can at share. Dark brown pour with a thin beige foamy head. Aroma is malty, fruity, whiskey, toffee. Taste features the caramel, malty flavors up front, light fruity accents and a nice dose of rye whiskey.

Taste from a can at the Weldwerks Invitational, 2025. Pours dark brown, with a small, bubbly, tan head. The nose is cherry wood, rum, coriander, caramel, heather, and grass. Sweet and malty, with a beautiful, boozy finish. Heavy, grainy, and a bit hot. Fantastic, oaky, and complex.

10 ounce at brewery - dark black pour - headless - slick mouthfeel, full body, oily texture - nose is potent whiskey and wood - flavor is heavy on chocolate, coffee, and whiskey - plum, oak, tamarind, light umami in the back keeps it from getting cloying - light red wine on the tail end - fairly boozy in the finish, but given the strength, this can largely be expected and forgiven - just on the border between beer and booze.

10 ounce at the brewery - lightly hazy purplish pick - no head - nose is tart Cherry skin and funk - flavor is dry and tart, bordering on sour, with prickly acetic acid and moderate lacto - cherry skin tannins - not a lot happening besides the buggy acids and cherry - quenching but not terribly complex.

Pint can - black pour with a substantial tan head that fades quickly - nose is heavy on espresso, chocolate, and rye malt - light undercurrents of smoke and red wine - flavor is fairly dry and moderately bitter - coffee is less apparent than in the nose, but the rye malt shines - red wine tannins late - coffee gets a little abrasive on the tail end, but still fairly solid - nice earthy malt.

10 ounce at the brewery - hazy gold, moderate lace - nose is lovely pineapple brett and herbal hoppiness - soft carbonation in the mouth - flavor is lightly sweet up front and through the middle, making the musky pineapple brett shine a bit, tasting a little like pineapple juice, especially with the very subtle acidity underneath - dries out a bit on the back end, allowing some oak and hop bitterness to take the stage - super mild acetic acid way in the back in the finish - pineapple returns in the finish and lingers on the tongue, along with a moderate buggy funk - dig it.
