This beer is a slightly hazy straw-gold color with a medium thin frothy white head that dissipates gradually to a film. Sticky strings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of funky yeast, citrus, apple and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of brett yeast, green apple, citrus and doughy malt. The finish is tart and funky with an apple and yeast aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

Bottle opened for on-site consumption at the source. Clear golden with plenty of carbonated bubbles. Aroma is lemons, perfume notes, brett, hay, some herbal yeasty note. Fruity flavor, grass, perfume, brett notes, hay, some grass. Mild sweetness with the yeast. Good balance. Real nice.

Bottle opened for on-site consumption at the source. Th aroma is enormous amounts of fuzzy peaches. Peach fuzz. All fruit, bold peach. Flavor is tart and not outrageous sour. Wow, huge peach and just the right level of tartness, not over done. Awesome!

4 oz. sample draft at the source. Aroma shows typical haze. Aroma is citrus, pineapple, and pine. The flavor is a direct reflection. Pine has a good showing in the finish.

Draft at King's Head, Portland ,ME. Appearance of grapefruit juice. Aroma is ridiculously tropical fruity. Large peach, passion fruit, pineapple. Very well balanced. Flavors shows me pineapple for weeks. Hints of passion fruit, slight resin, and hints of floral in the finish. Bitterness is bold. Incredible brew. Reminds me of another top tier beer from New England. (And I am not going to refer to said beer)

Pours an incredibly murky, muddy-brown-yellow, with smallish head (seriously, this is not a pretty beer, even by NE standards). Strong citrus and tropical fruit aromas. Flavor is very citrusy, with a huge pine/spruce hop bite. Soft mouthfeel. Very bitter finish/aftertaste. Not bad.**I feel like I underrated this from the beginning--I've had several more since and this is truly one of the best NE-style double IPAs currently being made**

Poured from thanks Chris DeMont black with a thin cocoa head. Aromas is roasted chocolate vanilla cream and brown sugar. Taste is rich creamy luscious mouth feel nicely balanced not sickly sweet. Nice sipper.

16 oz. can from Spruce Creek Provisions. Appearance shows a bright yellow with head and lacing. Aroma is pale grain, light citrus, light earthy hops. Flavor shows citrus rind, oranges, grapefruit, and pine. Texture is dry. Body is medium. Bitterness is assertive for an APA.
