Description
603 Brewery was founded in 2012 by long time college friends. As home brewers, who met while studying engineering, they set out to design high quality, hand crafted beers. As demand for the beers increased, the vision to launch a microbrewery was developed. With a focus on quality and versatility, our hand crafted beer is brewed using the finest ingredients in small batches.

Thanks Andy.
This was poured into a mug.
The appearance was a rich looking burnt amber close to a brown color with a nice looking finger’s worth of white foamy head. Swift subtle sliding lace.
The aroma stuck to roasty nuts, some caramel/toast/toffee notes and then coupled by some grassy to semi-earthy hops underneath.
The flavor blended fairly well between the malts and the hops; sweet, bitter and earthy. Nicely blends into the aftertaste and rolls on into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation. Appropriate ABV.
Overall, very nicely done brown ale that I would have again.

Treated as an imperial red ale, this was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a semi-dark red almost brown sort of color with a nice looking sustaining finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a nice even pace. Messy foamy lace.
The aroma had a nice earthiness intermingling with some nuts, roasty and sweet, good amount of grassy and citrusy hops showing some bitterness. Clean caramel/toffee malts underneath.
The flavor yields to a smooth sweet maltiness foremost and then blends the earthiness, nuts, toast and the hops. Nice clean malty smooth aftertaste rolling into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionably smooth to almost smooth sipping quality about it. Good sturdy carbonation was felt. ABV felt good too.
Overall, nicely balanced imperial red ale well worthy of having again.

Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a hazy golden color with a fairly large foamy off-white head. Mild stringy lace.
The aroma had some biscuit/toasty malt, then rye plus some citrusy bitter hops.
The flavor blends the sweetness of the biscuits/toastiness to the rye and citrusy hops. Lingering citrusy to semi-spicy rye sort of aftertaste. Quick semi-spicy sort of finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation. Good ABV.
Overall, in my opinion, I thought this was a pretty good rye beer well worthy of having again.

Bottle from the brewery. Pours a fairly clear deep golden color with a huge bubbly off white head. Wow that is melons in spades with a hint of honey like bready sweetness on the nose. Flavor adds some lemon lime as well. That is an odd but very interesting beer.

Bottle from the Brewery. Deep copper with ruby at the edges and a huge khaki head that persists. Raisin prune plum and light clove and pepper with lots of dark caramel maltiness and just the faintest of apple and oak. Light sherry oxidation shows through a bit in the flavor. The barrel treatment is quite subtle or it mixes well into the quad flavors, nice sipper.

Bottle from the brewery. Mostly clear deep golden color with a huge frothy white head that persists. Earthy grassy light mint and a touch of pith. Sweet bready malt backs it up, lingering pithy light aspirin in the finish. Pretty tasty.

Can pour into shaker pint glass from Greg & Jane’s Beer and Wine. Appearance is slightly hazy golden orange with nice sparkle, finger-width fizzy white head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is bread dough, yeast, light fruit. Taste is bready malts, light honey. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with foamy texture, fizzy carbonation (stinging the tongue) with crisp, malty finish. Overall, pretty one dimensional. Not bad, but I’m glad beer has evolved.

Can pour into nonic pint glass from Tuckaway Tavern. Appearance is slightly hazy golden orange with nice sparkle, foamy finger-width + white, rice-crispy-like-crackling head with fair retention and mild lacing. Aroma is biscuit with light sugar-candied fruit, yeast. Taste is sweet mild initial sugar-candied fruitiness that fades to biscuit. Palate is light bodied with thin, foamy texture, average carbonation and dry, crisp finish. Overall, some nice features. A good cream ale.

Pours a slightly hazy, copper gold, with middling head. Aroma is dank and hoppy. Flavor has a lot of hop bite to it, a bit of an alcohol burn, and lots of bitterness. This isn’t bad for a double IPA.

Bottle from the Brewery Deep mahogany color with decent clarity and a bubbly mocha head that slowly recedes. Caramel and a hint of chocolate on the nose offset with some spicy earthy hops. Flavor follows the aroma well. Lingering chocolate caramel in the finish. Tasty well made beer.
