Dull copper-gold body shows a high clarity and a frothy white head that is well-retained.
Stiff esters and toasted grains provide a pretty substantial aroma, with light notes of vanilla and spicy hops. Very earthy, lots of mineral-like character as well. Quite a bit going on. No alcohol noted.
Assertive toasted malts give a light sourness as the hops are more bitter and acidic than they are flavorful. Waxing sweet, with banana, pear and clove-like esters very prominent on the finish, which is quite acidic and dry, perhaps a bit too much so. Very strong beer, not alcoholic, but just full of malt, hop acid and yeast. Carbonation is appropriate, doing as much as it can to break up some of the power of the flavors. Soft texture from the malt, medium-full to full body.

Hersbrucker-n sie deutsch–on tap-white-hazy yellow. A-soft grassy, lt malt. T-grassy, lt malt-some sweet.
