16 oz. can. Dated: 07-19-21. Appearance is a unclear straw color. Normal amount of carbonation. Flavor has grass, citrus rind with a pine bitterness. Light body that is found in many session IPA’s. Maybe part of it is due to the age of the can or perhaps not. Hopefully one day I’ll actually make to the brewery / restaurant and sample it fresh.

Can pour from trade with Johnnnniee--thanks, John! It's an opaque black with no sparkle, finger-width light brown head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malt, coffee and baker's chocolate. Taste mirrors aroma. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth texture, average carbonation and crisp finish as taste. Overall, strong roasted quality. Not much else to it but a good straightforward representative of the style. Maybe a little over carbonated.

On tap at the source. Dark amber in color with moderate haze, thin off white head slowly recedes. Earthy spicy citrus against a bready caramel maltiness. Moderate astringency is distracting.

On tap at the source. Hazy yellow orange in color with a decent sized frothy white head. Alcohol on the nose as soon as my nostrils get over the glass. Bready malt with hints of caramel. Earthy citrus and tropical hops aroma and flavor with bits of aspirin like astringency. Little rough.

Can from the source. Dark brown/black in color with a decent sized tan head that shows moderate retention. Earthy hops to counter some roasty caramel and chocolate maltiness. Not bad

Can from the source. Dark brown with faint garnet on the edges and huge khaki head that lasts forever. Rich caramel and light bitter chocolate, hints of fruit and a light earthy hops to counter. Pretty nice for a brown ale.
