8/9/2023. Bottle shared by Colin, cheers. Kentucky rating #5. Pours black with a small bubbly tan coloured ring. Aroma is rich, woody, lightly smoked, roasted malt, dark fruits, coconut, dark chocolate, coffee. Very nicely balanced sweetness and woody roasty bitterness. Quite full bodied, soft carbonation. Very tasty.

Pint can. Clear copper pour with a large foamy off white head that has fair retention. The aroma is mild with grains, caramel and some sawdust. The taste, like the aroma, features, malts, caramel and some lightly bitter woods. The palate is clean and crisp with soft carbonation. Finishes short and semisweet. Overall: decent Oktoberfest--very traditional--but not different or exciting, but that is not expected in this style.
